Empire- its just great. Though people who have soooooo many complaints about Hayden need to watch Mark Hamill's acting especially that lower lip pout in the most important reveal scene of all time.

Jedi- good child hood nostalgia. Oh and Ewoks are awesome. Wookies would have worked but Ewoks are cool. Judge us not by our cuteness.

Hope- the first step into a much wider world.

Sith- I am a sucker for longer movies but this one needed a few more minutes. I am not overall a hater of the PT by any stretch Anakin's fall was rushed he went from wanting to kill Palpatine to defending him to see him tried to killing children for you my master. There is a missing piece a stronger reason to hate, an ideal worth the abolute totalitarian vision of the galaxy. It was weak. But what a fight.

Phantom Menace- don't mistake low on the list for low in my view there reasons of nostalgia that the OT really push them up on the list. Okay Jar Jar didn't work for many. I know lots of kids that loved him not so many that I wouldn't cut him. Why oh why did they not go for Kit Fisto's species instead? As much as I like PM the stated theme of symbiosis between people is one you have to told. Also the gungan battle is largely undynamic; lots of standing around dispite a cavalry, lots of cool dinos that don't move, there was room for real eye candy. I don't mind jedi monks and politicians being reserved but this movie needed a dynamic space jock. Captain Panaka I am looking at you. Here was a chance to have a different personality rise show him in action, give him turn on the Star Destroyers moment. Give him a snappy don't lecture me on wisdom jedi line errierly similar to"Never tell me the odds." So little could have helped. Oh and why wasn't he Samuel L Jackson!!!! What I loved about PM Qui Gon Jinn. He was awesome.

Clones- Still a great movie. Just the lull in this series. I agree the love story seems off and some of the scenes were done wrong. But I like what Lucas was trying to do. He wanted a timeless love story of two lovers who should have known better. He had them fall in love in the most boring way small talk and flirting . . . you know like most people not in movies. He also used a number of classic movie tropes (throughout the PT but it sticks out in Clones most) he wanted it to feel like it mirrored the narative style of old Hollywood. Things I would like to have seen more Samuel Jackson playing Captain Panaka. Specifically a scene with him taking Obi-Wan to an old friend who works in a dinner Max. Also it should have been Captain Panaka and Max who flew Anakin and Padme back n I t civilian transport. Why is Max there cause he has a ship, remember Panaka's shiny ship blew up. The biggest thing missing in this movie . . . WHY SHOULD I CARE HE KILLED SAND PEOPLE. Seriously sand people are monsterous desrert muraders without faces, killing indiscriminately, and xenophobic. They killed is mom. Sure killing the whole tribe not a good idea but this scene should break hearts it should show conflict it should give something to regret. It should make every mom world wide never be comfortable their kid wants to be Anakin Skywalker. Huge missing scene I don't need a disembodied Qui Gon voice yelling no. He needs to show up in raging Neison glory to plead with the son he never had to not commit an act of genocide. You want to show Anakin's future on the Dark Side have him in his rage rea h through the force into the netherworld of the force to scatter Jinn' s blue force ghost from existence never to be scene again. Then he can light saber or force throw the last few sand peeps off a cliff.

Sorry this went from list to exposition I feel I needed it though.

I change my mind frequently on this one.... But for now, it's:

    1. Revenge of the Sith
    2. The Empire Strikes Back
    3. A New Hope
    4. Return of the Jedi
    5. Attack of the Clones
    6. The Phantom Menace

I keep swapping around the first three though, and I'm pretty sure I'm thinking Sith is number one right now because I just watched it.

Obviously not as I gave a critical analysis of the differences between the two situations.

If you want me to say they are not exactly one and the same then that is evident.

Some people prefer the one way and not the other. I prefer both.

12 was the max age. It was directly tied to creating the impact on a child leaving his mother behind in slavery.

He was intended to be precocious hence the prophecy and being conceived by the midi-chlorians or the Force striking back at the Sith for tipping the balance of the Force.

    1- ESB - incredible movie

1 - RotS - incredible underrated because a lot of people just reflexively go with OT = good, PT = bad.

1- ANH - the movie that started it all. Great movie/classic.

    2. TFA - copied a lot from ANH, still damn good.

    3. R1 - dirty, I like that.

    4. RotJ - easily the most overrated, because its part of the OT.
The last 30 mins are awesome, but besides that its messy as hell.
    Still a cool movie.

    5. TPM - the most overhated movie of all time. People act like this was a Batman & Robin or a troll 2 which it clearly wasnt. It was just not as good as people hoped it would be.
Its an average movie with some pretty awesome scenes if you ask me.

    6. AtoC- the weakest saga movie , still not bad. The whole detective stuff with obi wan was really great.

    ......

    O.O Holiday Special ......

    1. The Empire Strikes Back
    2. Rogue One
    3. A New Hope / Return of the Jedi
    4. Revenge of the Sith
    5. The Force Awakens
    6. The Phantom Menace / Attack of the Clones

This is all, of course, very subjective.

I like all these movies to varying degrees, first of all. I don't think TFA, AOTC, or TPM are bad movies just because they're at the bottom. With Revenge of the Sith vs. The Force Awakens, I think the production values, talent involved, and character relationships are undoubtedly stronger in The Force Awakens. But (and I apologize, since i know this is beating a dead horse on this forum) the copying of Ep. 4's elements in The Force Awakens and the feeling for me that Rey is legitimately overpowered (at least until some greater explanation is given in Ep. 8) do take away from the movie for me. I enjoy it, but I rank Ep. 3 higher because it's much more original and you got the sense that really did tons of new things - if sometimes flawed things - with the movies. Callbacks to the original trilogy, while frequent, were given a much more innovative coat of paint, and the story being told was great, even if the execution was imperfect.

On the flip side, I could completely understand putting The Force Awakens before any of the prequels, if originality and Rey's powers didn't affect your experience in a negative way. The movie looks fantastic (and especially today, Revenge of the Sith doesn't), it's got fantastic character dynamics, it brings back the feel of the OT, and it promises great things to come.

So yes...this is all very subjective. ;)

    1. Revenge of the sith
    I!!!! Love!!!!! This!!!!! Movie!!!!!!

    2. Rogue one
Amazing cast and I love the overall aesthetic of the film so much!!!

    3. Return of the jedi
    Still makes me emotional

    4. The empire strikes back
The biggest plot twist of all time how can you not adore this film (dad)

    5. A new hope/ the phantom menace
Cant really decide which I like more so just put them both on the sane spot:p
These two began their respective trilogies and both are equally great!(dual)

    7. The force awakens
The characters are great and their arcs too (cant wait to see more of them in VIII) but things like starkiller base, the resistance and the new rebublic ( that got destroyed way too fast wth) really bug me. And I still dont know how Poe survived but ok

    8. Attack of the clones
There is more things that I like abt this movie than I hate but I had to have a last place so here it is
Anakins and Padmes lovestory felt forced at times and it all went too slow.

But I dont hate any star wars movie to be honest :D

Let's be real, the show was a lot better than the film.

And even so, it's not fair to have to go up against this franchise. Even being listed at the bottom is certainly not any sort of condemnation.

Yes, the show is far better. I didn't really hate the movie, but Ziro and Rotta definitely didn't make me love it! ;)
