Venom is in its own category of "So Bad It's Good." There aren't any other MCU or Sony movies like it right now, so it takes the stage alone. If we were adding Into the Spider-Verse, then that would probably replace Iron Man in the Top 3 spot.

*Shang-Chi is in Tier 1 for me. BPWF and Black Widow made it to Tier 3 because I've seen BPWF be somebody's favorite and I'm sure that's the case for BW as well. Eternals made it to Tier 4 despite being so weird and disconnected I'm not sure it's even relevant. Ant-Man 3 is in a new Tier 5 called DO NOT RECOMMEND.

 

All right... I saw GOTG Volume 3 this past weekend, and... wow!

Not nearly as fun as the other GOTG films (it's actually kind of a major bummer), but so emotional. I think I'd slot at right between Civil War and Age of Ultron. I might even put it above No Way Home, but I'm trying to be aware of how badly I succumb to recency bias.

Good to see a Marvel film that I actually enjoy, given how disappointing both Wakanda Forever and Quantumania ended up being (the fomer couldn't live up to its incredible trailer, the latter botched a truly intriguing premise and villain).

 

Okay, adding the new stuff.

Also, I bumped Eternals up a bit, idk why I had it as low as it was. Really, one of my favorite movies in the MCU, it's like it's tailor-made for me: Cosmic Horror, alternate history, a globe-spanning adventure, an evil superman, a blonde Angelina Jolie... most underrated MCU project by far.
