Kathleen Kennedy said that there would be Star Wars movies released in the summer again. I really wish the sooner the better. There's something special about having a new Star Wars movie around Memorial Day.

I do not because, well, TFA was the first SW film I saw in cinema. Besides, if they'll premiere in May, i won't be able to see them with my sister and father for a couple of weeks, as I study abroad and this slightly bums me out. Since they come out on Christmas I'm always back home on the premiere week and going to a SW movie during the last Sunday before Christmas started to become a tradition. Well, I guess we all can't be fully satisfied...

It must be a generational thing, then.

No, Disney's Star Wars should stay in December. I really like going to the movies during Christmas time. Furthermore, what is better for ending a year than a new Star Wars movie? => Every year ends with a new chapter of the best movie saga ever, that's awesome.

At the moment it's scheduled for May 2018, likely stays that way.

I don't really mind waiting longer, tbh.

I prefer Winter (Summer (US)) because it's school time, so no annoying kids are at the theatre.

Not to mention Summer (Winter (US)) is a hassle because everyone is out and about, school holidays have begun, and it's Christmas time.

I always go to early screeningsbecause less people are around.

Did I mention I hate packed theatres? xD

Same, my first cinematic Star Wars experience was with TFA as well. I prefer for them to be released at Christmas time, because that's one of my favorite times of the year and it feels more special to see these movies during the holidays.

The competition is fierce in the summer. I hope the Han Solo film knocks it out the ball park!
