    I'm enjoying the show and look forward to each episode - primarily for the main hook as Herman22 said - the design.

    It LOOKS like star wars to me - and the subtler soundtrack refeerences really work for me - that said each episode i've seen (at least since the pilot) has felt pretty flimsy. It feels like there's a whole wave of awesome story being held back by a disney dam. i don't so much think that disney is tinkering with it - but just that they laid out some sort of edict that resulted in the show trying too hard to tease it out as stand alone episodes that just can't really get anyplace significant in the time allowed -

    until they start with more complex multi-episode arcs (IF they do) then i'll keep watching for the look and feel but lament that storywise it could be so much more.

    It is early tho. took clone wars 4 seasons to reach that point so maybe its just a cumulative thing.

    Pretty decent ep. Background girl Sabine gets a turn as the Ezra substitute for this episode. As Ezra is both the main character of the series and face of the marketing I was thinking like TCW they'd deviate to highlight other characters and this episode showed that.

    A-Tier -> Spark of Rebellion, Rise of the Old Masters, Breaking Ranks
    B-Tier -> Droids in Distress, Out of Darkness
    C-Tier -> Fighter Flight

    Interesting fact about this "Fulcrum" character: no mention in the episode's credits. Who IS this person...?

    I enjoyed the pacing and the design. I liked that Sabine's past was delved into a little bit, as I think her character is slightly too predictable: female, artistic, sassy, uhh mandalorian... (not that that's bad, I just don't get the hype). One thing that really bothered me is that the windscreen of the phantom was facing aft when Zeb and Ezra were fixing it. It very clearly docks facing forwards. Even if it was some sort of "maintenance position" they still couldn't have moved it while they were in hyperspace... Food for thought.

    My initial thought was that it might be Bail Organa, possibly with some sort of voice modification. He was very interested in their actions that were recorded by R2 in the Droids episode. However, I find a couple problems with that theory. First, it sounds like Hera has been getting missions from Fulcrum for much longer than the timeframe that the series has covered so far. Also, I get the feeling that she has actually met him/her face to face, so she would have recognized him when they returned the droids to him. She may have still recognized him but kept quiet though. It is still possible that it is him or possibly someone working for him.

    I noticed that about the Phantom too on the recruit episode. I believe it also serves as a rear gun turret station for the Ghost, and the primary guns are on the front. I think it has the ability to dock in both directions especially when it needs to dock in a hurry, but yeah, flipping it around in mid flight in particular in hyperspace would not be easy.

    I could see the lightsaber showing up by the end of the first season, considering the toy version of it is supposedly already being sold for Halloween costumes.

    Oh yes.. I vote for more dynamic characters for the future of rebels.... Like Hera's death stick addiction.. And Zeb's roids.. And Kanan's space-ganj.. That'd really tear the ship apart.

    If Fulcrum is Leia it would add to the reasoning for not sharing the identity. Taking orders from a kid the same age as Ezra? That would definitely be a point of conflict. Keep the identity hidden.

    Also see my theory about Ahsoka being Leia's personal guardian. I have... some confirmation from a friend of a friend of a relative at Lucasfilm that this thinking is on the right track.

    Hmm, it was already theorized that Fulcrum was Ahsoka. If she is in fact also a personal guardian for Leia, it could be possible that Fulcrum might really be a group that includes Leia and/or Bail Organa instead of an individual and Ahsoka is just the contact for that group, using the group name as an alias. Or at least Ahsoka is speaking on behalf of Leia or Bail. "Pay no attention to the senator behind the curtain."
