Wait, really? I thought "Spark of Rebellion" meant that the Lothal rebels would help form the Rebel Alliance. Like I know from ROTS deleted scenes the Rebellion started from dissenting Senators, but I felt the actual military and all may have come from the crew of the Ghost.

I've always thought that there were dozens or hundreds of "rebel cells" that team up to become the rebel alliance.

Technically speaking, you aren't too far off - "Spark Of Rebellion" implied that Kallus had dealt with this sort of thing before in the last scene.

What a brilliant episode! I sensed a Kotor, PT, OT, CW vibe. It was simply amazing.
    I loved this conversation:

"-It's strange that is just here.
    - And it will be, for now and hopefully it will be here longer after you and I are gone.
    - I was just thinking: shouldn't we use it as a base or something? Who knows what else is there.
    - I know what is there: the past."

Many thoughts came to my mind after heard that...

"Long after you and I are gone."
    Episode VII??
"I know what is there: the past."
    Kotor??

    Some thoughts:

What was Ezra and Sabine doing? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So instead of forming it, they will join it? Sounds interesting. I need a mix of Clones, Correlians, Smugglers, All the types of -Wings, BIGGS DARKLIGHTER, Porkins, Wedge, etc. I seriously believe that my dreams of fan-service can be played really well into the story.

I hope you enjoyed it! And congrats on the engagement, @Ewok jedi told me about it :D

I think you might be covered on that front. Dave Filoni specifically mentioned the fate of Clone Troopers in a certain interview, and how a number of them felt horrible for what they did at the end of the Clone Wars. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple appear as rebels (though they would be elderly due to their accelerated aging).

Captain Rex's story arc revolved around him distancing himself from the Clone Army and seeing himself as his own person. "Ephraim Bridger" has the voice of Captain Rex, and bears some resemblance to a clone (albeit with a beard and a different hairstyle). I think it would be really neat to hear that Captain Rex ditched the Republic before Order 66 was issued, had a family under a new identity, and stuck it to his former employers by rallying support from disillusioned citizens and some of his old allies.

I have seen Rex really doubting the war, thanks to Domino Squad, Krell, and to me at least, the clone who deserted and became a farmer and married a Twilek, Cut Lawquane. I think that really started his path of separation from the Republic and the fake war. Elderly sure, but think about it. The rebels, with limited equipment, funds, etc., had to have some advantage. In the EU, clones hated the new recruits they trained, as they were never true soldiers in their eyes. Their skills physically may have deteriorated, but they still are bred soldiers. If anything, a few clone pilots and old commanders and such, with Rex, could as far as we know begin the earliest training of the Rebel Alliance :D

Why would they have waited until death? They should of had a sense that their Padawans weren't coming out. It implied that they were there for days, maybe a couple of weeks with all the meditation they could do. With the let go of attachment they supposedly had wouldn't they have left and called it a day? Or at the least go in and get them?

You must take it here as the classic and poetic sense of mysticism or supernatural. It was in a lot of things before, usually in fairy tales.
Like: ''and he sat there, waiting for her to come out of the magic tree, but she never did and so he sat there forever...'' looking on a skeleton.

Yeah, normal human being will go to the bathroom or to eat something at least, or say: ''Ah, Blast it, he's lost'' and go away :)

An excellent episode all round that really felt as I was hoping Rebels would from the start!

I've seen a lot of people getting very upset about the temple on Lothal, which I can understand, but at the same time, I cannot say I am as disappointed! I do agree that only so much can really happen on one planet that is otherwise little heard of in the saga and I think any further coincidental appearances or events will possibly milk it too far for even me, but, as I said, I can't say I feel cheated thus far.

Throughout the current Star Wars canon, we see many planets that are visited briefly for one element of the story and then never again and a few that are revisited more regularly (Coruscant, Tatooine, etc.), but I always feel that we haven't (at least since the EU reset) seen the true workings of a planet in full (its infrastructure, culture, logistics, etc.). Through Lothal, we are seeing some existence of community and how society works in a galaxy far, far away without just skipping on to the next one. Yes, we are lacking the colourful scenery and the diverse ecosystems, but I'm personally content with losing that for a series in trade for a deeper understanding of one location.

A recent rumour on SW7N suggested the Skellig Michael location and that of the snowy planet we see in the TFA teaser are the same planet, which ties in to my point slightly - I think we are treated to so many different places in Star Wars that we are never aware of the diversity (in culture, climate or however) in just one!

    That's just my opinion though!

That's funny you say that because I was thinking the same thing about one of them staying behind while the other goes to the local Deli for a food run.

They should have put the Temple on Hoth. Great tie in. It would have been cheap to produce and animate it and since it took Master and Padawan to enter that would explain why Luke never discovered it.

I'm hoping she took him to the old blaster range to teach him how to shoot something besides that sling-shot.

Here is my full review of this Rebels episode:
Ezra: Overall I enjoyed this episode more than most because it is another step Ezra takes into a larger world. I am so enjoying the changes in Ezra's person and life. From the beginning of the show I had Ezra as my favorite character. In this episode, Ezra is maturing quickly, learning to control his fear and anger. At the end of his trial in the temple he is given a Kyber crystal and then builds his own Lightsaber. Yeah!! I hope his lightsaber PERMINANTELLY replaces his slingshot. The One thing about Ezra's lightsaber was that it is blue. Don't get me wrong, I like blue lightsabers, but they are too common in the GFFA. His hilt was different, so his blade should have been too. I was hoping for Yellow.

Yoda: I absolutely loved hearing the one and only Yoda speaking to Ezra and Kannan. It truly was the cherry on the top of the Star Wars Cake.

Kannan: It was good to know that Kannan learned something in the temple too.

Lothal Temple: I was a little disappointed that their was a Jedi Temple on Lothal. But I have an Idea why this season seems to be keeping the Rebels on or near Lothal. I think the whole season 1 is centered in Lothal, while the next season might take us more abroad.

Except if it takes both master and padawan to open the temple, the master would not be able to leave alone.

So, they come back from a 6 week or so hiatus and they're off again next week until the 19th. That would be the 12th if you watch it online. :(
