MakingStarWars.net announced today that Rebels would return after their winter hiatus this February. The mid-season premiere will air February 24, 2018 with an episode entitled "Jedi Night". The following episode "Dume" will air March 3, 2018.

MakingStarWars.net also included descriptions for the two episodes:
    Screen Shot 2018-01-10 at 6.16.21 PM.png Screen Shot 2018-01-10 at 6.16.26 PM.png

It seems that Rebels will be wasting no time as the show will losing a major character right off the bat. The episode titles and descriptions seem to imply that Kanan might be the one to die when the show returns for its finale episodes.

What do you guys think? Will Kanan be the one to go or might another charcter sacrifice themselves?

They are going to chain Hera for sure, I wonder how Aphra gonna help her, 'cause there is a comic issue coming those days...

    Speculations only:
    - he stays to protect Lothal, refusing to be part of the Rebellion (old news)
    - he turns to the dark side (even more older news) and dies, probably being killed by someone more experienced in the dark side
    - he does something else

Whatever it is going to be it will work (for me at least), a lot of possibilities exist (not for Disney channel to air). We all know (no! not again) there are no Jedi by the time of R1 and OT, and who knows what shameful explanation will we get from LFL Storygroup this time? "...From the certain point of view Jedi are still there...". Doesn't matter at all, 'cause it's great show.

Can`t wait to see how Ahsoka`s story continues after all ...

    Cheers

Sadly TLJ has even ruined rebels for me. Luke. Would not contemplate killing his nephew in his sleep. RJGTH.

Really!? Ive seen TLJ 3 times and yeah the first time catches you off guard but when you start to analyze the whole SW saga its one of the best films to show how much the force has evolve. With the latest technologies and ideas im sure GL has thought of, the force has come along way from the OT to the PT and now the ST. With Rebels, they have shown a few of the force theories in TLJ. look it up on youtube.

But getting back to the subject of the matter, SW:R is well captured into the last season. with the ST in the fold and having Rebels on TV it helps that it further explains how things were and can be in SW today. with the possibility of Celeb Dume (Kanan Jarrus) dying, he will have a more positive role with Ezra. We will see a force ghost of Kanan this season if he dies. according to the episode description the title DUME might press the concerns of him dying or he might play a major factor in the episodes where somebody else might die where he might fully use his real name. only to further the chance that he, a jedi still lives to start a "spark" for the rebellion.

I think Dave Filioni has so much he wants to do and will introduce his vision in the last season of Rebels to where his future SW series and hopefully Film he continues the adaptation of what GL wanted to continue in a tv series and/or film. I know he was limited to what he could of showed, its Disney so he was really limited now than when he and GL did TCW series. Filoni will bring back Ahsoka this season if Dume does die. Ahoska will play a big role for Ezra and possibly get a good Darth Vader scene again prior to the ending of Rebels...

I would love to see another fight between Ashoka and Vader. It would be awesome to have Vader kill Ashoka (Unfortunate fate that has to come at some point) so that him hunting down and killing all of the jedi stays true.

I'm not sure what's going on with Ahsoka, but I'm beginning to worry that she may not be quite as alive as we probably want.

I think that, given the title and description, it's pretty clear that we're at least supposed to think that Kanan is going to die. And it might even be that straightforward. Much as I love Rebels, it's hardly Westworld- we may not be in for a meta twist where an episode with that title and description offs someone else (like Zeb).

Anyway, I'm really excited for this, but February 24th still seems so far away!

If you havent seen SWNN latest story on SW:R, They mention a couple of episodes regarding the Jedi temple and they start with Ezra and the ghost crew. Which is easily to decipher as to why they didnt say either Kanan or just The ghost crew. Is it sayig that the whole Rebels series is about Ezra? Which can be leading cause thats how the saga starts. Alot of story synopsis start with how the episodes goes. So Ezra and the crew looks like, tying into the first 2 episodes, that either Kanan is gone or Kanan is no longer with the crew at this moment. at first i thought "DUME" episode was that maybe Kanan will die but now I think he might also be taking his name of Celeb Dume and will choose a path that he must take in order to futher his Jedi training. Maybe he leaves to search for someone (OB1/Yoda/Ahsoka) which leads to a possibility of facing Vader.

Maybe im not the first to think of this but reading into the episodes and picking it out from what i might think it leads to seems like a good guess. we all know Ezra wants to save Lothal. maybe Kanan has his own lil 2 episode saga within the rebels story and maybe ends up meeting back up with them towards the end.
