    I can move my question over to Forum Feedback if it's more appropriate there, but I guess I'm wondering why posts that were explicitly against starting a flame war were deleted? Is it to make it seem like the original post never happened?

    It's a fire sale. Dump the origin, clear out the evidence. Better that than for someone to bring it up in an ugly way later.
