Well some of those people that are using Star Wars to make money are using disagreement to make money even if they are just putting on an act, because they see a way to attract moths to the flame. Doesnt mean the love or hate Star Wars. They very well may not care. As for MZ I dont know, dont know really any of them motives. Just will avoid people who seem to be prone to creating click bait, positive or negative.

For yucks I looked up what MZ released today. He has released 8 videos today each about 6 minutes and 20 seconds. That is kinda crazy. The 1st is titled "The Rise of Skywalker Trailer 3 HUGE news Revealed" and the last is "The Rise of Skywalker Final Trailer Shocking News".

To be fair, all sites use some type of clickbait. They have to otherwise they won't survive. It's just some are louder then others. 8?! How long was he in front of a camera for?

I have defended Zeroh in the past. I love his enthusiasm for the Star Wars brand. Sometimes however some people are bad eggs and he is a bad egg. He was rude about KK and her age and I didn't like that. When the first batch of the new rumours came out he did ten videos, just think about that ten videos. He's making cash for that. Taking credit off of people's information. Its sad yet I understand his love for Star Wars, I really do. However there's a line he ctossed it. We Got This Covered is in the same vain. Its almost like they want sabotage the brand for reasons I don't know. Yeah, I hated TLJ but I don't want to damage the trilogy and the trademark just because I don't like one film. I know some of the rumours are cack but some. Some I like which is significantly better to how I felt in 2016 / 17. But reshoots I rest assure is a normal common practice in the movie industry. These sites are making revenue and mountains out of mole hills, that is all.

I think to say TROS is in trouble is a little disingenuous. As has been stated many times, reshoots happen all the time. The two movies that did have some prerelease problems, RO and Solo, had numerous reports that there were issues by numerous legitimate sources. At this point there has not been any hint of trouble with TROS

Oh, no disrespect intended. I am sure he is a big fan like all of us, nothing against it. As @DailyPlunge , his methods aren't at the highest standards though but enough about him. My personal opinion, is TROS fine and going through the standard movie process. Everyone will see it differently based on their opinions of the ST.

Mike Zeroh is a misinformation factory grinding for ad revenue. Don't waste your time giving him your views. If you aren't viewing reputable Star Wars sites in the last five years and are still viewing the misinformed propagandists, they win and the real scoopers lose. Support your news researchers and writers on SWNN, MSW, and more. They work tirelessly to confirm film info.

That’s basically what I trying to say. Rogue One and Solo have both had really troubled productions and I enjoyed them both.

Of course you can make an argument that Lucas film shouldn’t have got themselves into this position, with better long term planning, been more careful in choosing directors ,.......

You can also say it probably more of an up hill struggle to produce a good film when you don’t have as much time to plan before productionand are reshooting quite late on. But by no means does that mean it’s gonna be impossible to produce a good film, just harder.

But realistically if they deliver like Rogue One did none of this matters.

I can see JJ being a bit of a perfectionist and tweaking things all the time... adding little bits and bobs for the visual storytelling, visual fluency and continuity of the film... He probably has a hundred takes of the same scene with a different emphasis in each one. I wouldn’t read too much in him reshooting and reshooting. He strikes me as the sort of person who finds it hard to let go of his “babies”.

Probably in his attempt to use as much physical effects as possible. he found out that he shot too many shots with physical lensflares attached and now has to reshoot half of the movie.

I think we can probably omit THESE DAYS from this. Reshoots have been a part of big budget films for a long time. There are some really obvious cases of reshoot footage in the prequels - slightly older / more mature Anakin in THE PHANTOM MENACE, or perhaps the dead giveaway in ATTACK OF THE CLONES between Ewan McGregor's actual beard or the fake beard from the reshoots - THAT looked attrocious! (See the Coruscant elevator to Padme's apartment, and "this weapon is your life" outside of the Outlander Club)

A number of productions now have editing facilities on location so that the whole dailies process is a bit more rigorous. The director and producers can see a more fully realized version of a scene on location by viewing a rough assemble edit and tweak it while the cast, crew and set are still set up. Doing that can be much more cost effective with a large set and the challenges of cast and crew scheduling. It's more likely that a small, more focused scene within a scene was re-shot for tonal purposes, a la "I am Iron Man" from Avengers - Endgame.

Can a film see drastic change during reshoots? Absolutely! Just look at Rogue One and how that film was reshaped during the reshoot process. But in that case it suited the story that much more to do that, and it was a major change that was a big picture determination from KK down through the producers.

Reshoots or another term used, "pickups", are part of the normal process for big-budget films. I am not too worried. I believe this film will be great overall and a "satisfying" conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. The only 2 things I have on my "wishlist" for TROS is force ghost Anakin Skywalker, and a Ben Solo and Leia to reunite in a scene. I highly doubt that we will get a physical reunification with Ben and Leia due to the passing of Carrie Fisher. (But with movie magic, one can hope.)

Agree. I few years back I wasnt aware of MZ methods and would watch a video here and there. Then I caught on. I never watch them now. Yesterday I specifically went to his channel to see what his videos lately was focused on and was shocked how many he had per day. FYI he ended up putting out 11 yesterday and has 7 already today. Just nuts. Also odd they all seem to be just about 6 minutes and 20 seconds. Is that length significant for YouTube monetization?

A lot of political YouTube clips I watch are that length. They release several clips a day every day. It’s quite common. Monetisation apparently comes after a certain amount of hours within a year.

Hey all, let's take the Mike Zeroh talk back down to zero. "Re-Shoots" are where this thread is at. Thank you!

I'm not worried about the film being in trouble. But I am concerned that some of the cool scenes rumoured to have been filmed will get cut and changed. There was stuff from TFA that i really wanted to see like the Bespin flashback and the KoR finding the Skywalker saber etc that got cut when reshoots were done. Seemed like a lot of 'how and why' was removed for the sake of runtime, pacing and to streamline the story for the sake of simplicity. Hopefully these reshoots are just pickups and not drastic changes to the story

The only thing more common than reshoots are the inevitable "OMG they're doing reshoots that means this production is in trouble!" articles. I honestly think some people don't realize not only how common reshoots are on a project like this, but that they are planned for and a natural part of the production. Some people try to make reshoots sound more nefarious than they actually are.

There are a few things I am seeing which worry me about E9 but the fact they are doing reshoots this month isn't even remotely on my radar of concern.

Same. A film being "in trouble" late in the game, only to turn out to be amazing isn't uncommon. Heck, I seem to remember a little film called Star Wars that was like that (minus the internet speculation of course). I'm sure the reshoots will have nothing to do with how well the film does (or does not) do. The plot/story on the other hand...
