    The director's cut already exists... then Lucas screened it for his.... friends.

    By then, it was too late to change the novel, so at least we still have that.

    Yeah, one of Maul's cut lines.

    Update: it seems to be for a promotional piece, not the film. However, I do believe the line or something similar appears in the novelisation.

    I've always found this part of the deleted podrace footage pretty dark for a kids' film. In fact, I felt sorry for him and his family when I read about it in the Star Wars Insider when I was a kid :(:
