Revisiting leaked concept arts

The first one is for the ep.9 when Rey Skywalker and Ben Solo fight together against Snoke.

 

That could genuinely be very plausible.

In comparison, those pictures with Vader's helmet could be what how Kylo looks after he completes his training - maybe Snoke pretty much tears him apart (both emotionally and physically) to make him as strong in the dark side as possible, to the point where he is more machine than man, just like his idol and grandfather Vader.

 

I think you are just seeing Kylo Ren in a different form in that snow lightsaber battle. Not intended to be Snoke. Kylo was obviously more mechanical looking, with the robot hand and his mask grillwork became more stylized than mechanical-looking.

 

The picture with vaders helmet is obviously kylo ren.

 

That is clearly the moment she grabs the saber as it flies past Kylo. That is why his hand is out. That is an early Finn concept where he isn't knocked out. Finn was white in the concepts we saw.

I like that they didn't make Kylo scarred until the end. They were clearly toying with the idea of him being a cyborg, but that might come into play with the next film. I actually wish they hadn't showed him without his mask on in the BTS pics. I think it would have been a better reveal without them.

I just found this on the Canadian Amazon page for the Art of TFA book. I can't read the text, but it looks like it may be a character who became Maz. Looks like she may have been Yoda's species in some early concept art. And some of it looks like early Yoda concept art. I believe this is exploratory concept art that was done before they had the story figured out. Second pic is the early Yoda art that they seem to have drawn on for some of this. I can't wait to get this book. I bought it weeks ago, but It is only shipping today.

Maybe they will revisit some old concepts and ideas for EP8 ? That would be cool . Pretty nasty cut he got there , might even have lost an eye.

If he stopped using his helmet i would really miss that uber cool Vader 2.0 voice though.
Maybe he can look like something like this underneath the helmet and have a emotional scary cyborg reveal or something "YOU DID THIS!!"

 

Was the At At the Rey's house after all? One of the scene that I was waiting to see in the movie. I just love this concep art.

An image on Reddit from the art of book shows they did use the name Kira for Rey in a script or shooting schedule, at least as a cover name. Don't know if this was proved before.

 

I doubt this has anything to do with it, but as soon as the Han/Ben moment on the bridge, and the light came in the room when Rey and Finn arrived I instantly though of this picture.

 

It was 100% known for awhile, but if there were doubters I suppose they are silenced.

 

The Resistance weapon was real. It is called the Warhammer in the concept book. At least one concept was for it to be able to penetrate planetary shields and then deploy ships.

 

Based on another page leaked on Reddit, turns out Rey and Finn were named Kira and Sam in Arndt's story. So it wasn't just a cover name.
