    This would be a new twist for Star Wars. Will Rey become Snoke's apprentice and Empress? No reason they all should die off before the end of IX as there can be another trilogy after.

    Thats is one of my desires for the ST, Kylo Ren becomes Ben Solo in EPIX and Rey is seduced by the dark side. Then the following trilogy would be about Ben saving Rey.
    It's doubtful that this will ever happen though. But I do believe Kylo Ren will turn to the light side...

    i doubt Rey will go full dark too, but i do think she'll be tempted in ways that even Luke never was (or get closer to that edge, anyway).

    i like the idea of a role reversal, but yeah, i do think at worst Rey will teeter toward the Dark and Ben will shove her back where she belongs.
    and hopefully she'll drag him with her in the process.

    From the way they have set up Rey, I don't think they would do something that drastic to her character .

    I think they will close the story with IX. But I believe in a twist too.

    Let's think about this: Kylo Ren is the Skywalker of this trilogy (I don't believe Rey is Luke's daughter). What if he falls in love with Rey, and then she turns to the dark side forcing him to kill her? He will be the last of the Skywalkers, and the formal beginner of the New Jedi Order (yes, I don't believe Luke will survive, too), alongside with his mother, who will become the supreme chancelor of the Republic.

    You realize the Skywalkers have made more than some real world nation states? Skywalkers will never die.

    Fan boys of Skywalkerless Star Wars should embrace another movie for life or perhaps one of the STORIES. Disney has been clear about their intentions of how to handle the movie that has made the most money in history of movies.

    Skywalker is money.

    I'm actually hoping she does turn to the dark side, whether forced to do so by sacrificing herself to save another, anger towards Luke for rumored reasons or what ever the scenario. I've longed to see a bad ass canon female red saber wielder on the big screen in the ST.

    I don't understand this post.

    We already have a Skywalker: it's Kylo. Rey's connections to Skywalker family are too obvious, in TFA, to be true. That's my position. Wherever her parentage comes from, it doesn't come from the Skywalker family.

    Actually, Kylo is the "renegade" Skywalker, no matter if his name is Solo. He's half Skywalker, and that's enough, but there is something else: if the Arthurian sub-text will be respected, then they could respect it at all, and make Kylo the incestuous son of Luke and Leia, just like Mordred in Malory's interpretation of King Arthur's myth. I don't think it will happen, but if it will, then it will be stunning.

    But, to me, this trilogy will change forever the "skin" of Star Wars.
