Rey is reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker? theory

So Luke birthed his own dad ?

...and just when I had thought this theory had been killed but your thinking is original nonetheless .

 

We cannot really be sure about anything. In my mind this theory might also be very possible. A reincarnated "chosen one" would make some sense, regarding the state of the Galaxy.

Regarding the other 4 theories:
1.Luke's Daughter: Wouldn't explain how she's so powerful in the force. Being left alone as a child and knowing so much about the force already doesn't make sense to me.
2.Obi Wan's grand daughter (or something): Too much speculation and needs a LOT of explaining....
3.Han's & Leia's daugher: At first I realy wanted to believe this theory, but even without Han knowing, Leia would defintely remember that she gave birth to another child. There's a little chance that she and Luke hid her as a child and they have a reason why they did it, but again i think there will need to be a LOT of explaining and I have a feeling that the explanation would be really short on episodes 8 & 9. (like it was on the OT)
4. She's not related to any of the main characters: Just too easy, they need something old/new that would tie the PT and the OT. If that's the case I won't have a problem but won't be that satisfied.

I've seen TFA 3 times and I don't think that they leave a lot for us to speculate.
Also, pardon my english if they seem a bit weird to you.

 

While I don't think they'll go down the reincarnation route...it would be awkward for Kylo to come to terms with the idea of Rey is...his grandfather...? yeah it already sounds awkward as I am typing this lol. ST is trying to stay in line that the OT built up that made it so good in the first place, instead of it becoming yet another PT fiasco which a lot of fans hope it won't come to that. After all, TFA is way better and puts at least the first two Prequel films to shame.

Not ruling out this theory completely but at this point, it will be interesting where and how they'll explain Rey's origins.

 

The only time I believed this theory to be true was when I got really drunk one night and was obsessing over Darth Vader. I woke up the next day with a terrible hangover, quit drinking and never thought of it again.

 

I think it stands a chance a lot makes a lot of sense. I think if you are going to add the church of the force to the story line its going to have some biblical narrative added and that's without even talking about the acolytes of beyond + Knights of Ren

 

Reincarnation? NO. Clone of Anikin is more likely.

 

So Rey is Luke's transgender reincarnated father? I really doubt they would be crazy enough to go on with that idea.

Yes, I would say that there's more of a chance she will be revealed in Episode 9 to be a normal human being that has just been in a coma for a very long time then for her to be a reincarnation of Anakin. Actually makes perfect sense since Snoke is clearly the Wizard of Oz.

 

Yup, most likely. Then Rey claps her high heels 3 times just to realise she was on Mulholland Drive the whole time, and she is crazy into a girl named Betty. But in the end of the movie it turns out it was all just a dream, and she is Jar-jar, the evil sith lord in secret, in a time loop at the beginning of TPM when he meets Qui-gon. This ties all 9 episodes to a perfect circle.

I have been a huge Star Wars fan my entire life, and I love TFA. But if they do something as stupid as have Rey be a reincarnation of Anakin, I think it will completely turn me off to the series and I won't watch anything new beyond that!

 

There is no need to make Rey a character we have already seen. Let Rey be herself!

I agree. And it would be way to cheesy/lame. At the same time, people gotta realise that Anakin's story is over and done with. So if they are going to bring him back, bring him back as a Force Ghost. Nothing else.

 

To people who call this theory stupid, I bet you guys never watched Avatar TLA/LoK or played Morrowind
I'd rather Rey be reincarnation of Anakin than her being Luke's daughter..ugh so boring and predictable.

 

1. This isn't ATLA/LOK, I own every single episode on Blu-ray btw. This is SW, so the comparison is completely irrelevant.

2. I'd MUCH rater have something that's a bit predictable, but actually makes sense, then for them to try and do a "big twist" just because, some people are obsessed with there needing to be a "twist" for everything, no matter how laughably dumb and nonsensical it is.

Because that's the thing, doing a twist just for the sake of doing one, is automatically a good thing. In fact it usually isn't.

 

But then that would be "unoriginal" right ?
