No no, no Mr. Collinses, certainly no.

But plenty of radical change of opinions as new information comes to light and they see each others true colors revealed in their future actions, until we hopefully end up with something like this. Pride and Prejudice meets Beauty and the Beast, but in space. ;)

Let me just put on my tinfoil hat again and here is what I can find without even having to dig much. Coincidence? Hm.

I hope everybody understands that I'm of course half-joking, but there is a certain cinematic visual language that to me is doubtful to be entirely coincidental...

Anakin had no empathy, the only thing that mattered was himself. The jedi code is millenary, there has been thousands of jedis and it should have change because a young arrogant brat couldn't control his impusle ? Meh.

Did I say Kylo Ren did nothing wrong ?

Too bad he didn't get that the one who's gonna hurt his wife was himself.

I cannot believe how the artist blocked this last frame. *facepalm*

Yes. Especially if you take the last frame out of context and remove Rey's close up enraged face that precedes it.
If you squint you may start seeing all sorts of things.
Sort of reminds me of For Your Eyes Only poster...if my squint my eyes real hard that is.

    for-your-eyes-only-poster.jpeg for_your_eyes_only.jpg

EDIT: I was actually listening to some Leonard Cohen these couple of days and it struck me how the absurdly (in-)appropriate soundtrack to this frame would be his I'm Your Man.

    If you want a lover
I'll do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
I'll wear a mask for you
    If you want a partner
    Take my hand
Or if you want to strike me down in anger
    Here I stand

    I'm your man...

    -----

I am of course just joking...

There is something rather... Freudian about it. This does nothing to quell the shipping at all.

Well, I don't know about a wet shirt scene, but a shirtless scene of a young Skywalker is basically guaranteed, (one would presume), seeing that in all the previous two trilogies there was a shirtless Skywalker scene in the second episode of each trilogy. It's inevitable.

(*runs before saying any more very silly things*)

I was thinking more of the memeshame.

If that's not a word, it should be, meaning the shame one feels when a scene from one's favorite entertainment becomes meme fodder. :p

No offense taken. I'll undue my rating. I was thinking if a woman calls a man a MONSTER in my world she won't be doing a 360 and all of sudden become romantically involved or chums.... Anywho this is fantasy... if this was addressed in depth before my apologies....

thanks, man. sometimes i just have to ask because i don't know if what i said was somehow offensive and i didn't mean it to be.
tone is hard to get in writing sometimes and in that particular post i was just thinking: eh, it's no big deal in a fantasy setting (as you said).
    i appreciate your clarification!

Most missed the point of why he killed his father .... he did not decide to do that until the light went out and you have to understand what that meant to him ... that his mother would be dead in moments ie its too late he is not talking about himself but his mom ..... by killing han would allow him to get to the dark side and closer to those who were killing his mother.... but plans did not work out and he did not turn and then he is shocked by his actions and that his mother knows ---- what he did not know was Han ridged the base had he known that he would have left with his father... he killed his father for the love his mother ... so moments after that he technically has turned but now he has to convinced others he has turned to the dark side to get closer to those he wants to hurt and now that his mother has survived he cannot tell her the truth nor Luke only one person will see through him... but he will start to act more vader like and in appearance ... but Hux and Snoke is his target..... now... he has turned from the first order but his plan is to get as close as he can now he has to make his fathers death count for something .... I think he was trying to reach out to Luke before all of this happned to warn him about the starkiller base ...

Ben didn't kill his dad because the lights went out. He did it because he was conflicted between going down the dark path he'd been following for years or returning to his family after committing many atrocities. Nothing Ben does in TFA has anything to do with his mother.

Right, but the light going out didn't directly influence his decision to kill his dad. It coincided with it.

But he didn't make the decision because the lights went out. That's what I'm saying. He made the decision after that happened.

First of all great job by @Moral Hazard putting this together. I actually happen to think Reylo is garbage, but hey that doesn't take away from the effort of the OP getting this thread started. I skimmed through some posts, thoroughly read others and nothing made me want to freak the hell out. So that's good.
This above is legit one of the funniest things on this entire forum.

My actual take on Reylo, and I'll be sure to keep it controversial this time.. I don't think it's happening. I'm not going to bother getting specific but I think a lot of the stuff about their connection, for instance in the Rey and Kylo evidence for Reylo section in the original post (umm I think that's where it was), could just as easily be interpreted as evidence for them being siblings. The person who said it's about their connection through the force had a really good take also.

Unrelated aside before I get back to the point: Do you all remember that story about some dad asking "what will I tell my son about Leia in the slave Leia get up"? And Carrie Fisher bothered to reply to this Scum bag. Something like "You tell him that I killed the thing that put me in that metal bikini". That's not near an exact quote but what she said had the same meaning.

I bring this up because Reylo creates a real issue (as opposed to the relative non-issue of slave Leia) along the same lines. Girls of age 5 to who knows what would wonder why the hell Rey got with Kylo. And by the same token some boys will be like "Kylo Ren killed his dad and still got the girl...?" Confusing much? Yes. And I'm fairly sure Kathleen Kennedy et al are aware of this. And that's one reason they aren't going to do it.
