No, that was just some story told by some guy who was just created as a advance the plot devivce (Snoke). As of now she is just sum coincidence (like the Falcon so conveniently on Jakku).

 

With all due respect, how can you say that Rey's origins and connections to the Force are nothing but a story but not say the same about Anakin's?

In the films we're never given the reason for Anakin's power, we just know that it exists and that it's there. Even with the prophecy of the chosen one, it still doesn't explain why... the pieces exist but they're never put together. The general assumption over the years has become that the Force chose Anakin Skywalker... well actually, really Shmi... to give birth to the chosen one who would bring balance to the Force... BUT considering that's never explicitly stated in the films... it is, by almost literal definition, a concocted story.

You're forgetting that Anakin and Padme's relationship wasn't much better. I'm no expert, but I don't think keeping it a secret is very healthy either. Considering what their perspective jobs especially from Anakin's point of view.

 

The GFFA is a place where everything can happen.
Lost ones can be found, not redeemable bad guys can be saved from the ultimate darkness , "forbidden" love can happen (Padme-Anakin), lonely noones can become someones (Luke, Rey), God alikes can be wrong (Yoda/Obi about Vader), a FO-Soldier (Finn) can suddenly change sides alongside the one (Poe) that shot down his friend on Jakku, ... an endless list could follow here.

The GFFA is a weird irritating place, it questions everything, it's an uneasy place to look on it in Detail.

What is wrong, what is good/evil, what is "real" love, what is family, what is forgiveness?

I, for myself, wait for a last Episode under roof-topic "..the "war" that end all wars.."
or should I say "..the LOVE/empathy/forgiveness.. that end all wars.." ?
Don't know exactly how Terrio and JJ will wind up this path.
ONE of MANY possibilities could be true compassion and understanding between two marture people, starting from completely different points.

Duh, of course. But there is a difference between good and bad choreographed. Just compare the PT with the OT. - The whole scene is great btw, just this tiny nitpick throws me off. Haha!

 

And I wanted to write how much I like the fact that in the editing process they chose a shot where Daisy looks back for a second to see if she grabbed Adam securely and how this adds to the realism of the scene, just like Adam sliding on the floor.
