    I do think Rey and Kylo took forbidden/taboo intimacy in SW film to another level in TLJ.

    I read some serious visual symbolism into that scene but maybe I've spent too much time around Reylo propaganda!

    How can you deny romantic Reylo now? It's part of the story and will continue to play a part in Episode 9, Reylos were right since december 2015.

    I accept that Rian and many fans saw it that way. I don't have to nor I have to like it. I'd like much more if Kylo saved himself (if he is to be redeemed) than be 'saved' by Rey. I'd like them to be two separate characters with two separate journeys. I just don't see their connection as romantic.

    But, I guess that will also depend on what he does between the movies. If he continues First Order's murderous rampage, the chances of me accepting Reylo will only diminish.

    My guess is that Leia won't save him. Rey won't save him. If he is to be redeemed, he will have to make that choice himself.

    It takes me back to ANH where Leia tells Luke about Han: "He's got to follow his own path, no one can choose it for him."
