I honest to God do not understand the hate for this ship. If it bothers someone that people like it, they should look away? I do not like some other posibilities, but I do not go provoking fans of it by stating my hate and offenses? Why would I?

I can understand the "patricide is not sexy" argument, and the not wanting to be some torrid romance, but the way it's pointing, these two are intertwined in some way shape or form, and however you paint it, it will be a thing one way or the other.

But Luke is the truest of the true Jedis. He is as sexual as Yoda. He would never betray the Jedi teachings. I can se young OB1 succumb to Mandalorian charms, but never Luke. It is out of his character.

i believe in Luke's purity. yes, before he became a Jedi, he was looking askance at Leia, but after that i always saw him as committed to the order.

"Reylo is amazing" for Daisy, and this interview is from November 2016, Episode 8 was already shot, so she knows if Rey and Kylo are of the same family and if it's incest or no...

The "satchel"? lol That's only the most obvious thing. There's more. I stared at that image for minutes trying to figure out what was "wrong" with it, something just looks odd, unnatural. And it's Rey's legs. They don't dangle like they normally would in that position. Legs just don't bend like that over a forearm. She's awake and doing it on purpose. Not only that, but they're not close together. Normally her knees would have been right next to each other, close to the crook of his elbow. But there's enough space there to allow those pieces of fabric to flow between them. That's just not how legs "behave" in that position, and the artist knows it. This is NOT an abduction, not with Rey being awake It's subtle, but once you see it.....

Most of us are privileged in one way or another, especially when compared to people who find themselves in the in worst possible circumstances. "Privilege" is a very relative notion, and these days it's too often used as a way to dismiss people, or guilt them, or explain their behavior. I know that's not what the original poster meant, but if I start that discussion, it will turn into a never ending argument.

Yeah, that poster is very much sexualizing Reylo. What I find more interesting about it is that this was selected as the official SW publication...that...speaks volume

And also....Kylo is not 'abducting' her to take her away anywhere (except maybe to bed...or table, lol). He is not walking away, but is fixated in a standing position, with legs wide apart, as if he expects her to wake up any moment to....i dunno...do stuff.
I see plenty of potential here that is better left unsaid for the sake of the people that want to use bleach?!
(Please don't use bleach people, for drinking nor for washing the eyes...that can cause severe injuries, and worse...give dangerous ideas to innocent children in this thread. Much better is to teach them to look away if you don't like what you see, then to hurt themselves, no?)

Most of us are privileged in that way. But I would not called that privilege. Just luck. To have been born in a society based on egalité, fraternité, liberté postulates of the western world that allow us to take for granted some of the basic human liberties such as freedom to pursue our dreams, choice of what we do with our bodies, when and who we marry, what we freely wear or not on our heads or elsewhere without the fear of God's retribution (like the f*ck he cares what women wear), who we vote for whilst enjoying the fact that we are allowed to vote (and drive), what we say, what we believe in, what we read, watch and listen etc.... But in which nothing is handed down to the majority of people. The privilege she addresed was the privilege of the rich and spoilt that are used to feeling entitled to stuff (and people) just because they feel they can buy/have whatever they want. It is not an imaginary notion, but one that has been established many times in practice by both privileged people who liked to exploit their superior position, as well as the unprivileged people who allowed them to do so (for whatever reasons). It doesn't follow that all privileged people behave entitled. But many do. It is not a stereotype without a reason.

And Kylo Ren...he behaves entitled at times. There is no denying that.

But that entitlement does not come from privilege. It comes from power. Him being the most powerfull Force user around.(Yes. I think he is stronger with the Force than Luke. Just look at all he displays in TFA...and that is when he uses only half of his potential, just one side of the Force (dark side). Can you imagine what he will be when he finds his balance? I can't wait for that!!)
And what is the best thing about Kylo Ren's power? What he does when he is met with another powerfull person! People say he comes off as arogant. He is not. Arrogance is a weaknes originating from (often unfounded) belief that one is better than the other and their desire to put themselves in the position of power over others in order to dominate them to satisfy the weaknesses of their own frail egos. And arrogance in men is strongest when they are faced with someone that threatens their position of power. Then most show lack of respect and do their best to take that threat down so they can reastablish their position of power and continue with their arrigance and domination. Kylo does not do that. When he meets an adversary that exibits power equal or greater to his own, he shows respect. And awe. It is not Rey's attractiveness that he is responding to, it is the potential he feels when he first probed her in Takodana forest. If he was arrogant, then he would crush her mind and extract the map without any prior consideration to her like he did with Poe. But with her, he is reluctant. He does not want to Force her (ha!) to make her give it to him. The map. I also think he is hurt when she refuses to do so. Then he has no other choice than to take it. But...she resists and he fails...so what does he do again when they fight and he has the upper hand? He could have finished her off over that abyss, crush her, make her die and make himself the only, most powerful Force user in the Galaxy once again. But no. He offers to teach her. Make her better. Make her stronger. This is not a devil's proposition like Palps was offering to his apprentices to form a relationship of masters and slaves. This is a genuine proposition based on the fact that he admires and respects her potential and power and wants her to perfect it.
At least that is what I see there in their dynamic and how I interpret his behaviour.
Gotta look beyond the obvious. I just hope it is the creators' intention as well...lol

While on the topic of ESB. I recently had the misfortune to read one of the greatest stupidities I've encoutered in awhile. That Han and Leia's seduction dance contributes to the 'rape' culture of contemporary world. Cuz when she said no she meant no (moments before their first kiss)... Wtf???!!! How can anyone suggest that she did not want him to kiss her then?!
Women sometimes say no and mean yes. That is NOT a myth. And can not be interpered without the context! Of the situation, woman's behaviour and her body language.
Han and Leia's love story is based on an adversarial attraction of two willing participants with loads of playful rivarly and undeniable chemistry that ignites sparks and to suggest otherwise is a freaking blasphemy. Do you agree?

Reylo, in my opinion, must never result in neutering of Kylo Ren. Or making him submissive or less than equal like postmodern feminism has done to so many men...ugh...yuck....the whole point and beauty of Reylo is that she is powerfull enough to be his equal and he is powerfull enough to be her equal. Equals that complete eachother never dominate....Yin and Yang...Ren and Rey!!
(Unless we ofc talk about some intereexchanging sexual positions)
