    A double bladed saber with white blades would be by far the coolest choice. It would also build on and logically extend previously established lore from both the ST (Rey's staff proficiency) and the extended Star Wars saga (Ahsoka getting white blades after she transcends the old dogmatic Jedi teachings).
    In conclusion: It is the exact opposite of what they are going to do. Instead she will put some space duct tape around the blue Skywalker saber.

    Twist - She makes her own saber, gives a repaired blue one to her padawan Finn and the green one to padawan #2 Poe... That could be cool if done in a neat way...

    Since the crystal is split, couldn't she put half in each segment of a double-bladed saber? It just seems too perfect.
