I was revisiting TFA when the opening scene (attack on Jakku) caught my eye and got me thinking...

What if Rey's nobody parents were among the villagers that were killed in the very first scene? What if they were on their way back to find her? Kylo said Rey's parents were dead in Jakku...was it because he was the one responsible for killing them? If this is so, Finn would also be involved as he was a stormtrooper at the time.

    Anyhow, just a thought.

    Very nice catch!

Makes sense and they could definitely make it work in various ways.

I could totally see Ren labeling the villagers who fought back that night as "filthy junk traders" and alcoholic paupers.

Regardless, I hope they do eventually flesh out her parents' story a bit more.

Even if they are nobodies. I'd still like to know more.. ha.

Also, the idea of Finn being indirectly involved in the death of Rey's parents is a very dark and intriguing concept.
