    The sad thing is that I instantly understood that you weren't joking. They were saying the same thing with their failed boycott last year. These people, I tells ya...

    I feel like they missed the memo where the bad guys in these movies have traditionally been white men, and that's largely been consistent with what they've shown in the canon (even if the Empire is a bit more liberal in the new continuity than it was in Legends, what with Imperial recruits not uniformly being white men).

    That is true. The fact that these kind of people cannot identify with human beings but only with those they ascribe to their own constructed version of race astounds me. People really have twisted minds when they cannot identify with the feelings and emotions of a movies character on a human and empathetical level alone, but have to filter it through racist and sexist discourse. I'm no woman, but I feel engaged with Rey and Jyn because I can FEEL what they feel.

    Having been released in a few regions and opening later tonight in the United States, the score is now 8.3. I think it's safe to say that once more people see the movie, it'll settle around the low-8s, or, if failing that, high-7s.

    I think it might actually go up. TFA began high, but then had a backlash, yet finally managed to restore itself around the DVD release. This movie began with a lash from some reviewers (see metacritic) but appears to be very much liked by the audience. The score has been going up significantly. I think it will settle at 8.3. I like TFA more, but I understand that many people who gave TFA an 8 or something, will give this movie a 9.

    I gave it a 9. The first hour of the film is slow, a little boring I admit. But...the last hour.and specially the last 30 minutes will make your jaw drops.

    I wish there was a way to verify someone has seen a film before reviewing it. It seems too easy for Alt-Right trolls to simply log on and give the movie one star. At least make them pay for a ticket! :)
