I found this on my local news site and was shocked i never saw it here
    http://www.news.com.au/entertainmen...m/news-story/187aec218ee479263baa60d845ecbff6

Things like this kinda p**s me off, i bet the movie is fine, great even but i have a feeling Disney have thought we cant have kids watch this... they will add things like more Vader and talk of adding Solo as a camo (sigh) .. To me it feels like when EA games add there name to something and it goes to sh*t..

I might be wrong, and i hope i am.. i have huge hopes for this film...

Just read the original article. http://pagesix.com/2016/05/30/disney-execs-in-a-panic-over-upcoming-star-wars-film/
Before we go into full panic mode, over Disney making it kids friendly: We don't know if it is true, and we sure don't know if it was only for the kids. Re shoots happen, nothing to special, and if test screenings failed, maybe even some adults saw a problem. There are to many reasons why something didn't work out to jump to a conclusion now. Wait and see till we know more, on the bright side, it looks like some people do care and don't rely on the Star Wars brand too much.

P.S.: Disney made enough kids unfriendly movies to face those arguments over and over again.

FTA had reshoots. Suicide Squad had reshoots. It's a normal thing to do in the movie making process.

That is what we heard so far from others. Marvel has already established re shoot arrangements for their movies. 1 month doesn't seem to be unusual.
In my opinion this article is heavy on the clickbait side, if you want to know how "panic" in a studio looks like watch the turmoil around Fantastic4 re-shoots.

Like Anasa said, it's pretty normal. You should be glad they're re-shooting and not replacing it with CGI.

Chill, this film is going to be amazing.

Seems like a standard news beat up of a pretty standard process to me. Just journos trying to spin something that's not really anything in order to get their article read. These kind of hyped up stories anoy me, so I pay them no mind.

Anybody think that we'll eventually see the comic? I've enjoyed almost everything that Marvel has produced for Star Wars, with a couple of exceptions.

I really liked the teaser trailer.

And what I've read about the story/backstory of Jyn Erso.

You'd hope this isn't a case where Alan Horn sees a cut of the movie and exclaims, "This isn't enough of a remake of A New Hope! There's also too many major character deaths too... bad for our merch makers. There's humor but I'm not laughing enough. Alden...get Alden Han Solo in there like a Wolverine cameo in those X-Men movies!"

Well, this is just another story about the Page Six story. I'm curious if Disney does anything soon to stop this PR Train. There hasn't been anything from any of the insiders suggesting there's an issue with the film. However, with Yen coming back and the changes to the comics, an outsider has enough to publish "the movie is in trouble" nonsense.

Reshoots are fairly common. Maybe they have a sub plot that didn't work, and they need a few new scenes to hit the same beats without the entire subplot.

I may be showing my age here, but it reminds me of the rumours around The Phantom Menace when people were panicking that up to 40% of the film was shot out of focus.

I suspect there are elements that aren't flowing properly and need fixing, but that's all. The Force Awakens certainly had a number of re-shoots to polish it up such as explained here: http://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2016...akens-reshoots-and-a-darker-episode-viii.html

I suspect this is Warner Bros. getting back at Disney for bombing Batman v. Superman. Now, they are getting payback.

Were Page 6 the same source that was saying JJ almost walked off TFA because of feuding with Bob Iger, or that Michael Arndt was fired because JJ wanted more screen time for the original cast? All of which turned out to be bull.

The first allegation that Abrams wanted off the project came from a report by Badass Digest's (now Birth.Movies.Death) Devin Faraci. Lucasfilm issued a denial via the LA Times.

The second allegation that Abrams wanted more of the script to be about the returning characters came from the Hollywood Reporter.

How did Disney bomb Batman v. Superman? What, they seriously think Jungle Book remake actually derailed their precious grimdark "mature" superhero movie that tried to play a guy who dresses up like a bat and a guy with a red cape dead serious?

Seriously, give me a break, Warner Bros.

Clickbait at its best. I love how these 'sources' never show up to say something positive.

I hate that everyone is re-posting this and people are falling for it. Re-shoots after bad test screenings? I know that this is not TFA which wasn't even shown to the critics and does not have the same level of secrecy, but I very much doubt that the movie was screened anywhere else but in-house.

Also, like others have said, this is something big budget movies plan in advance, especially Disney properties.
