Rogue One Reviews (With Spoilers)

That was an actor with prosthetics. This is more like Michael douglas from ant man.

 

Michael Douglas looked good in ant-man. I can't wait to see how they did Leia!

 

Hey can anyone tell me what the violence is like? I am really hoping it isn't as tuned down as episode 7.

 

I heard its not as violent as Hacksaw ridge but violent nonetheless pg-13 violent not R-rated

 

Jahns says the "I rebel" line did not make the final cut. Is this true?

 

That would be awesome if true. It was one of the few cringe worthy lines I have heard from all the ad media so far.

 

Its true John Campea said the same thing, and the one where K2 says he's not gonna kill Jyn is cut too.

 

That is amazing.

 

Harloff hates the soundtrack. Says there is a scene where Krennic is in a ship and the music "just blasts at you". Also said they severely underutilised the empire theme.

 

I hoped that they at least used it during vader's scenes.

 

He complains the audio is blasted at him?.... maybe he was at a theatre that had the volume too loud.

 

Another Tarkin question: does his hair match the gray of A New Hope? It looked from the TV spot and the sizzle reel to be notably more brown.

 

Google peter cushing episode 4 and click on images. It appears he is darker from the side and rear. Also it would depend on the lighting, but I would agree that it did look somewhat darker in the sizzle reel. I hope we are mistaken and it is spot on. That seems like something someone would have caught.

 

I don't trust Harloff, (I will wait to hear the soundtrack for myself) I mostly listen to Campea, Schnepp, Jeremy, or even Ellis before I believe anything Harloff says. Harloff gave Rogue One, I think an 82% and he stated that this might change. Only because, he will wait to see what everyone else thinks then come back and retract his statements. A good critic stands by what he/she says. Harloff is too sketchy for my taste. I understand that people change their views on movies as time goes on but Harloff does it way too much. I been watching these guys since the AMC days now its Collider.

 

Grace Randolph, BTT, has her Rogue One spoiler review up. She goes into every detail. If you don't want to know every detail please stay away.... I could not help myself I had to know.

 

general consensus from what I've read spoiler and non-spoiler: good-to-great movie with some noticeable flaws and overall ok soundtrack.

 

Did anyone else think that the "Rogue One" title looked really... well like it was put in there last minute?

When I saw the "Long long time ago in a galaxy far far away" I did get my hopes up that we would see a crawl, and I am ok that none came. Wouldn't have felt right if that line was left out. But when "Rogue One" appeared the graphics just didn't look too great in my opinion. In a movie with, in my opinion, very few flaws, that logo was a big one.

Did he? Glad I was not the only one who thought so. I don't think it looked that bad, but it just looked rushed. Like they had something for it before but they just cut it in.
