Can't complain. I cried during the last 5 minutes. this movie really does take place right before ep4. I was about to complain that we didnt get to see Vaders castle, glad that wasnt the case. I was glad to see Bail organa almost more than mon mothma . donnie yen was epic as always. was not expecting to like K2SO. IMHO they got Tarkin and Leia right but cornelius evazan totally wrong. Surprised Vader's castle had a superintendent and that Vader had royal guards, guess the emperor wanted to have eyes on him. After the dissappointment of TFA I really enjoyed this movie even though it had such a different tone than both the OT and even the PT. Anything that takes place during the empires reign is going to be great for me. Really hope the make more movies in this era.

Does Vader say anything during his big scene at the end? Or is all his talking in the scene with Krennic?

My friend said that the AT-ST scene in Jedha wasn't in the movie. I was looking forward to that. Was there an AT-ST in the film at any point?

Huh, not sure what he is on about then. He told me that combat shot of an AT-ST from the trailers was cut and one wasn't even shown in combat. Only on patrol.

It is not named. It looks a bit like Mustafar. A lava land.

It is possible that it is the canon version of the Legends planet Vjun. I believe in Legends, Dooku had a castle on Vjun called "Bast Castle" that was later used by Vader. It was canonized by its inclusion in the Absolutely Everything You Need to Know book, but it has not made an official appearance in a a canon story yet. It could be that this new location is on this planet, although its landscape seems to be different from the Legends version.

Edit: As others have pointed out later in this thread, Pablo Hidalgo recently confirmed the planet as Mustafar. :)

the fact that we got even a glimpse of vaders castle is a fanboy dream come true. although thought he wouldnt have wanted to live on a lava planet. AFAIK in the EU the planet was called vjun

O.K. I'm back and I cannot tell you anything coherent. I need to read novelization as soon as it's available and listen to Giacchino's score and see a movie at least 3 more times.

It was very emotional for me, I had a lump in my throat for the last third of the movie. I could have watched the end credits and went back in immediately to see it again. What they did with Tarkin and Leia is outstanding, especially Leia because she has less time on the screen. Tarkin is creepy because you know that isn't him, but the voice is spot on. They managed to revolutionize digital effects in the best tradition of Star Wars.

When they called for General Syndulla on Yavin, I almost had a heart attack, but is it Cham or Hera?! So many Easter eggs for fans and all discrete and not in your face. Even blue milk!

Felicity was fantastic, she sold every emotional moments, and so was Diego. I liked all of them really very, very much.

When the battle started, I couldn't believe it - it seemed only half an hour passed. The film is 2+ hours and it went by like a breeze.

A New Hope will never be the same. It will be better.

I don't know what I am talking about anymore. Just ask me what you want to know.

Does this lava planet look like Mustafar basically, or does it have its own look?
