Rogue One *Theatrical Trailer* when ???

No clue. Sometime before December is my best guess

 

If you mean the celebration trailer I would say September to October first week. Then the final trailer in November.

 

I think the celebration "trailer" won't be released to the public (don't worry, it wasn't that great), instead this footage could be reused for the theatrical trailer. The final trailer will probably come in October/November.

 

They've put two out already right? Give them a couple months (September/October) then we'll see another. They have to space them out to revive the interest.

 

Only one out to the Public.

 

I don't know, but this time last year, we had seen more of TFA than we have of R1. Not sure I agree with the marketing plan for this movie...

If Doctor Strange was going to be released earlier I'd have said with that, but November is way too late surely?

 

We saw more TFA at this time last year, but it was the first movie. There was plenty of hype leading up to it. I don't get that from Rogue One. Maybe it's because there's less out, maybe it's because it's a different movie without the original characters (Other than Vader and a handful of others)

 

With Suicide Squad or R1 N .

 

I 've seen the first official teaser, the 3 minute officially released Comicon footage and a thrid 2 minute trailer filmed on an iphone with Darth Vader at the end. This is a description from comicbookmovie.com that matches up with what I remember:

"The trailer starts off with a young Jyn running away from an Imperial Shuttle 'There's not much time. We grow weaker, while they grow stronger. This is our chance" Jyn says in a narration "To make a real difference". Then we see scenes of battle from the beach shore which was in the last trailer. Then, there were X-Wings, the Death Star and Krennic appeared. He was shown wearing a black cap. But the biggest surprise was saved for last; we see a red blood-colored Empire monitor, which reflected a silhouette and together with the iconic breathing sound, we can definitely tell that was Darth Vader. "

 

Maybe the infamous reshoot is responsible for it, that sparsely stuff is out.
I guess the rollercoaster will start in the autumn.

 

I hope so. Otherwise, this movie's going to be the cinematic equivalent of a certain paternity reveal.

 

I am pretty sure we will get a trailer right around Force Friday (Late Sept)....maybe the NFL Monday night game prior to that Friday?? So...one in Sept. and a final one in November, around Thanksgiving or so......that's what I would expect. I would rather not see anything else to be honest. I have an idea of the story, so I would rather see the action sequences FOR THE FIRST TIME while I am in the theater. ( Imagine actually seeing Vader for the first time....in a theater filled with a few hundred die hards......yummmy. )

Yeah I know but maybe IF they do it then the same trailer from Celebration : Europe would be shown .

 

I wouldn't be surprised if we get an official version of the celebration teaser publicly available by the end of August and a full trailer around mid October with TV spots coming after that.

I think the difference with TFA was there was a lot of pressure to release something earlier and they didn't have anything else they were promoting, so we got teaser 1 early. Celebration was earlier in the year than it was this year, which is where the second teaser was shown for both, they just decided to keep it as an exclusive for the attendees (for now) this time.
