True. That statue could have fallen 10,000 years ago.

the same for me and I think the parts with Chirrut and Jedha planet are the most interesting for me. Even when there are no Jedi in this movie, I hope the force and the lost Jedi religion is a little bit a topic. I'm just more into this than into the blaster/war stuff. ;)

I'd love that. It'd add some depth to a pretty complex story. This film is expanding our Star Wars universe in more than just a military sense.

When you see Vader in the film and it's all a surprise, you'll be happy they didn't spoil it all... is my guess.

Didn't do it for me at all. A few nice sceneries but that was basically it. I'm gonna let my freinds give a review of this one before I'll spend my hard earned money on it.

And seriously, that was it of Vader ?? Damn that sucks ***. They might as well have kept him out of the trailer completely.

Agreed too. Yes, people want to see Vader, but where is better to see him? In a trailer, or in the movie proper?

You got my vote on that one. I've seen it now 9 times and I'm still not into it. The way Vader walks twords him though makes it seems like he is about to make a move on him. My only hope for that scene is that Vader ignites his saber and strikes him down right then and there. Besides Vader I have no hopes for this movie.

The thing about showing Vader in the trailer was never a idea that I liked, except for a fightscene confirmation. Now we pretty much know that he will do nothing but walk and talk, and why the hell do we need too see that again ?? I could have waited to see that in the movie rather than in the trailer. Now there are no visual surprises for us with Vader, Lucasfilm just made sure of that. There is no way in hell Vader will be doing the least bit of fighting in Rogue One, otherwise it would have been shown in the trailer to hype people up even more. Especially to hype people up who are not hardcore fans and who needs a little bit of bait with something familiar to be drawn in to watch this movie.

Not necessarily. We barely saw any sabre action in TFA trailers. We didn't even see Rey with a lightsaber - and yet she was in the climatic fight. We are likely to see Vader use his lightsaber in this film.

I can see both sides of more Vader, however, I don't to see him doing anything revealing. Maybe just him igniting that red saber and cut to something else.

Agree. Another thing I noticed is that we didn't see Bail Organa on this one either - just in the Celebration reel. Hope it is not because his scenes were cut. I have the feeling we'll get to see him sending the Tantive IV away and maybe get a glimpse of whoever is traveling on it, but they are keeping that for the movie (I hope so!!).

Based on what ??? Nothing indicates that Vader will use his lightsaber, no spy reports of any kinds and no images or trailers have shown it so far. Nothing! So in my opinion there will be no fighting with Vader. Not that it surprises me at all, why give the fans what they actually really want to see when you got the coolest character in the movie right in front of you. F*****g Disney LFL.

What I thought was different about this trailer versus the first one, or even the TFA trailers/teasers was that it actually gave us some backstory instead of just "This is Star Wars" eye candy. We now know why Jyn Erso was picked, and have some sense of her anger towards the Empire: They took her father away.

I also like that we are seeing the growth of the Rebellion into the military force that it was in the OT. At the beginning of Rebels, literally titled "Spark of the Rebellion" we have the first stirrings of discontent. Rogue One looks like it is true to the spirit of the opening crawl of ANH.

"It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.

During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet.

Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy...."

As said earlier, this film looks to greatly expand the SW universe. I think we will be able to go back and watch ANH with fresh eyes after seeing this.

I know right? That's why I think it would be a great idea for the movie theatres to schedule ANH screenings after Rogue One. It would be awesome and it would help the more casual fans to get better the idea of the movie.
