    So - it's been previously noted that there wasn't much of any romance sub-plot between any of our main new players. Although...

    The novelization depicted Rey as pulled towards Finn (as a friend, but emotionally) with Finn rather attracted to Rey (sexually/romantically). When Rey meets Poe, she is struck by how handsome and dashing he is...

    I predict another bizarre love triangle (minus the incest bit) in Episode VIII. Add to that the casting rumour of people looking for a daughter for Leia for VIII (could be a Rebels Leia misdirection but...) and the rumour of the new lead female tested for chemistry with John well... yeah!

    i would like to see a romance blossom between finn and rey, but all the rumors are that their trying to cast a love interest for Finn at the moment.

    i'd kind of like it if Poe was already married maybe even having a kid, just think that wud be an interesting direction to go.

    My gut feeling is that this trilogy might not really have a strong romance. At least not compared to Han/Leia in OT and certainly not to Anakin/Padme in PT. I could see just more of the flirty nature between Finn and Rey caring throughout.

    I don't really want the romance to overpower the story, so if Rey and Finn become romantically inclined, I don't want any love triangles, or squares, or spheres, just cut to the chase. I don't want to see Han/Leia because that's been done, and seeing a decent love story without the creepiness of Anakin/Padme.

    That would be really neat! It's not something we've seen in Star Wars, and it would give his character an interesting level to explore.

    Out of curiousity: Is there a reason why one of the options is Kylo Ren falling in love with Kylo Ren?

    Edit. I thought more appropriate would be Kylo Ren -- Darth Vader.

    God, I hope there's no love triangle. They're boring and cause the most convoluted drama.

    I'm guessing Finn/Rey will be endgame. They've got such a cute dynamic and wonderful chemistry.
    (That being said, I would probably ascend to a higher plane of existence if Rey/unknown female lead happened. I know that's unlikely, though.)

    I am a little nervous when It comes to Star Wars and romance, but as long as the characters have chemistry and stuff I think It will be alright.

    Rey and Finn obviously. Finn kept on telling Rey that nobody has ever looked at him the way she did and to come away with, and the way they hugged on Star Killer Base, etc. Plus the forehead kiss at the end was no "friendly" way of saying goodbye. They both have the hots for each other. Might not see much of it in VIII but it's possible they will confess their love for each other in IX. And John and Daisy are really good friends too so I think that will make their supposed romance incredible.

    No she definitely friend zoned Finn. I promise you they do not have a love interest. In the books they have hinted that if anything Rey and Poe kind of liked each other when they first met. So if anything it will be them but I hope their isn't a love triangle in this trilogy.

    at the heart of most films/tv shows is a romance the audience want to see happen. It might be more 'subtle' in some things we watch.. but more often than not it's in there.

    I think that Finn will be the character that we want to find romance.. just a hunch from what we've seen so far. whether it be Rey or a new character remains to be seen, but i think it will be Rey.

    as long as they don't go down the 'twilight' route with the romance stuff i'm sure it'll be great, but i'm not sure i'm ready for a complicated triangle again like that just yet lol.
