So with The Mandalorian back and the whole talk about Boba Fett and the sarlacc pit I thought I would mention something I remember and wonder if anyone else does.

So I recall that a large edition comic adaption of ROTJ came out the same time as the film. I mean exact same date. It wasnt normal size comic book. It was a larger format even larger then a magazine if I recall correctly you know more like the size of a concert program. I dont have it any longer. Have no idea where it went.

What really stood out about it was that in my memory Boba Fett survived. In the comic shortly after Jabba's barge explodes in the comic book the book showed Boba using the rocket pack to shoot out of the sarlac. Was drawn as him rocketing straight up. That is his last scene in the comic.

Does anyone else recall this. I have attempted to search for it on internet and cant seem to find it. I remember getting this opening day and skimming through it while we waited outside the theater before we went in.

Thats not what I am referring to. This was one comic book that was strictly the story that was on the screen. I remember sitting on the curb outside the theater early the morning that ROTJ opened with friends reading this and newspapers with reviews.

I had that comic. I believe it came out before the movie, believe it or not. I remember having it before seeing the movie. I do not remember Boba Fett getting out of the sarlaac though.

So cool, but couldnt be sure unless actually read it again. Do you have the whole thing or just a picture of the cover.

According to Wookiepedia that came out October 1983 so wouldnt be the same thing I am referring to.

If I still own it, it's in my old family home 3000 miles away. I found that picture online.
