HUMOR Run pee opportunity in a Galaxy Far Far Away...

    You've been tailgating all day with fellow Star Wars fans.
    You brought whatever refreshes you (Sodas, Energy drinks, beer, wine, blue milk...etc).
    You then wait in line in front of the door that leads you to the next Star Wars instalment.
    You sit and the opening crawl rolls in all its glory with John Williams' classic Star Wars opening theme.

    Then... your bladder Darth Ruins it all for you.
    You don't want to miss a frame, but you know...like they say... when you gotta go, you gotta go.
    It's premiere night so, you will have to take a guess on WHEN to leave your seat to run to the restrooms.
    You then wait for this moment when 2 characters embark in what may seem to be an unimportant piece of dialogue. Something not crucial to the story.

    What are these two characters and what do they do?

    runpee.com has a funny app that helps moviegoers making the right decision. Here is what they compiled for the previous Star Wars Episodes:

    PHANTOM MENACE:

    After Darth Maul says: "At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi..." &
    After Qui Gon introduces Anakin to Obi Wan.

    FORCE AWAKENS:

    When Han talks with Rey & Finn "The Force, The Jedi, it's all true"
    & After Han says to Chewie "Really, you are cold?"

    A NEW HOPE:
    After Han says to Luke "We're not out of this yet"

    Again, it's a guess we will all have to take on that premiere night.

    What are these two characters and what do they do?

    For me, probably when C3P0 enters dialogue with another character. Historically, when on screen, he rarely makes the story advance or give important information, but I'll make it quick because his sequences are never very long OR during an action sequence. I may miss eye candy but nothing from important story points.

    Wow this is scary! I just can't think of having to run and pee during SW cause I just know I will still miss something. Had I ran to pee in ROTJ, I might have missed Dengar or Bossk being in that movie!

    I would run during a hopefully longerlasting space battle. Cool optics but no dialogues.

    I would make sure I peed beforehand. That's why I always never drink anything before heading to the cinema, but will happily drink during the movie. NOT the adverts!

    It happened to me once during Phantom Menace, I chose to go about at the same time mentioned by runpee.com, but a little earlier (the Maul-Jinn fight).
    I usually run pee one last time during the previews and NEVER, NEVER drink during the movie and while waiting INSIDE the cinema.
    My main struggle is keeping myself awaken. I fell asleep during my second viewing of Phantom Menace, and 2 of the Star Wars SE episodes. :)

    Well, I was more talking about what situation sounds the alarm when you get out of your seat and run pee.

    When to time it is knowing movie structure.

    After 10 minutes you have roughly 5 to 7 minutes before action again.

    Go pee, get popcorn, get a drink, kiss a Wookie, whatever ya gotta do then get back.

    Then you will have a few minutes of action. Then go rinse and repeat and be back by the 25 minute mark.

    Do not miss the hour monment it's usually a revelation of some sort then go get some candy.

    Then the moment of despair around the hour and 10 to 20 minutes. Think Han. Afterwards get Kleenex and some water.

    Then the rest of the movie do.not miss. It's the resolution, some answers, something we've been waiting for...maybe in VIII will be Rey's parents.

    Before credits roll run out before your bladder explodes and beat everyone to the bathroom

    I swear I have the same problem with falling asleep during movies! It doesn't matter how excited I am for whatever I'm watching, because I'll find myself waking up after an unexpected micro nap! It's infuriating! I think a big part of the problem is the theatre I go to has the most comfortable seats in the galaxy! Fully reclining soft seats you could literally lay completely flat in. But I won't go to a different theatre out of the way to intentionally make myself UNCOMFORTABLE. Oh brother, it's ridiculous. My son hates when I nod off during a film and he has a gentle little way of waking me up...AN ELBOW TO MY RIBS! :) I drink coffee beforehand but it's an absolute certainty that I'll have to run to the bathroom multiple times because it goes right through me. Maybe I'm just getting old.

    This would never happen to me, I'm always in a coffee shop for about 30 minutes before a movie starts, so I go in prepared lol But if somehow it did happen...and it had to be a conversation.....I'd say Poe/Finn, Poe/C3PO, Finn/C3PO.

    I know it sucks! And it's getting more and more a problem with age. I remember when I was a kid, my father was also like this and I made fun of him. Good grief, it sucks getting old. Zzzzzz

    This situation happened to me with AOTC. I had to go to the bathroom, but just refused to leave the theater! There were lulls that, looking back, I could have gone and not missed much, but I was afraid to miss anything so I stayed. Finally, it got to the arena scene and the subsequent battle. My bladder was in pain! But I did not leave until the movie was completely over! I suffered through it!

    Now I am considering some sort of catheter situation! :)

    I haven't looked for an individual app, but I know I've seen "Run Pee" on either the Fandango or AMC Theaters website. I hadn't heard about it before then.

    But I just looked up the app, and it's a real thing. It also says it tells you if there is anything after the end credits. I think that could be useful, as long as they don't spoil WHAT is after the end credits.
