I have a theory based on the trailer that the story of season four is told through flashback. It seems to me we have a little time before we get to Rogue One, but I'd be shocked if we don't get a bigger tie in for it next season. Having the Ghost at Scarif is too big of a tease and I hope they're going to show us what was going on with Hera, Chopper (not to mention Endor-ish Rex) and whoever else is around at that time.

My thought then is that Hera's telling the framing story of what happens to the crew before the Battle of Scarif, maybe in a debrief, maybe off the record. It'd be kinda cool to do it that way.

 

Now granted you could interpret that to mean it could end after Scarif but given time between the end of Season 3 and that battle, combined with the season having fewer episodes this time (15) I'm inclined to think the timeline of the series just doesn't make it that far.

 

To be fair, I posted my theory prior to knowing season 4 is only 15 episodes. That does make it more problematic.

 

I am inclined to think that you are true. Also, it appears they are setting up a battle to "save" Lothal. Now we know the rebels first victory over the empire is in scarif. So if all of that is true, it does not bode well for our heroes. We know Hera lives, we know Chopper lives. I have a feeling they might be it.

 

This scene fascinates me. Who is riding with Ezra on the wolf? Is it Sabine? They seem to be holding a Mandalorian helmet. Whose helmet is it? The rock formations seem to suggest the scene takes place on Lothal.

 

Why is maul still in ththe poster ?

 

Yep it seems Ezra is back home, I think he's holding the helmet.

We can say for sure that both Bo and Sabine wield the darksaber over the course of the season.

 

Yep, It wonder if it'll cause a rivalry.

 

Well there's a scene in the trailer where they seem to be having a fairly brutal fight, so maybe it's over the DarkSaber? or potentially an existing quarrel overflowing?

A damn fine trailer for S4. It's a shame that it is coming to an end, but it'll end on a high (always go out on top) and with 15 episodes I'm hoping for 15 fantastic episodes to really close the series in epic style.

So much to ponder from the trailer though...

 

Agreed the end on high is important, to see two female mandlorians going at it over who's family should wield it should be interesting.
