Hello again everyone and I hope these days leading up to the first full trailer are as least painful as possible for you, cause they ain't for me. Sarah Michelle Gellar brings her buffy edge to the star wars universe. I for one have been longing for an official female red saber wielder (rumors back in the day of Lupita playing Asajj). Beggers can't be choosy and at this point of my desire to see this type of character on screen in the main saga, I'll take what I can get. I'm amped for it and the clips look awesome IMO. Ok so, you like this casting in this role or you don't or whatever your thoughts are.....lettem rip.

The fact that SMG said that 7th Sis is going to be playing Cat&Mouse with Kanan...doesn't worry me completely, but as a fan of Hera and Kanan's "relationship" (I put it quotations because as long as they don't show anything on screen or only use subtle hints, it can't be defined) I'm concerned she might put a wrinkle in that. Like being the evil step-mom in Ezra's mind to Hera and Kanan's Team Mom and Dad tendencies. Either way, I bet she'll be a great, fun, scary, and complex character!

I was wondering if anyone was going to start making connections to the rumored "7" in TFA to the "7 inquisitors". Is it just one more "stretch" in looking for connectivity ... or is it another point showing a possible role by the Inquisitorius in TFA?

A lot of people believe that this Seventh Sister is Barriss Offee from Clone Wars. While there are some valid reasons for this speculation (for ex. - 1. This new Seventh Sister is a Mirialan - the same species as Barriss. 2. Barriss was the padawan of Luminara Unduli who has made an appearance in Rebels already. 3. Barriss went dark at the end of her arc in Clone Wars. 4. Sarah M. Gellar mentioned when talking about her character that she is looking for Ahsoka which may suggest she has ties to her from the past.) there are still a couple of things that really have me doubting that this is the case.

For one, the facial markings are very different. Some say that the character design had to change due to legal reasons, like it did with Ahsoka. There are a couple issues I have with this thought though - one of them being that even though Ahsoka's markings are different, they are still similar and her character is instantly recognizable even with the new design. While a design change makes sense for Ahsoka, who has only appeared in the Clone Wars series previously, the same cannot be said for Barris Offee, who first appeared in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The facial markings for Barriss used in the Clone Wars design are merely a copy of the live action counterpart. Surely Filoni and Co. has the rights to use the exact likenesses of the film characters, right? The different markings just don't make sense to me.

    Barriss vs. Seventh Sister.JPG

Lastly, if she is supposed to be Barriss, why did they not seek after the voice actress from the Clone Wars? The character reveal video has some dialogue from the character, and even though it's hard to tell with the short lines, she sounds like she has an American accent. Barriss of course was originally voiced with an English accent. For example, the Seventh Sister pronounces the word "talk" with the American pronunciation of (tahlk) instead of the English (tawlk). She also pronounces "of" (uv) and "last" with the 'a' similar to the 'a' in "hat" - both of which are distinctly American. I just think there are too many inconsistencies for this Seventh Sister character to actually be Barriss Offee herself. I still think Barriss will show up on the show eventually (maybe as the First Sister?) but I sincerely doubt she's this Seventh Sister character.

I saw the official post saying she is the "seventh sister". I've heard that the male is referred to as the "fifth brother". Does anyone have confirmation of this? On its own, "seventh sister" sounds like a connection to nightsister unless "fifth brother" is correct, in which case it just sounds like all the inquisitors are numbered.

This also makes it seem like there are only 25 or so inquisitors roaming the galaxy (I'll only explain the math if anyone cares to hear it.).

They changed Ahsoka tano's markings so why not Barriss?

What if these 7 sisters are night sisters?

Ahsoka's markings although noticeably different are still basically the same. If this is Barriss then they are completely different. It's the voice though that I think is the main reason it's not her.

The way she is behaving kinda reminds me of a succubus.

Overall, I cannot wait for this season!! :D

Given the markings and voice actor change, it's probably not Barriss... they've been very consistent so far in re-using the same voice actors from Clone Wars, and Ahsoka's markings merely evolved with age.

But it's weird that they'd choose to have another Mirialan antagonist for Ahsoka.

Agreed. But at the same time, would that hint to a fact that the Seventh Sister and Barriss do have some connection? Sister? Cousin? Mentor (which could create an interesting "bond" or parallel between Ahsoka, Vader, and possibly even Kenobi)? Daughter (VERY unlikely, given how...mature the Seventh Sis looks and how SMG described her relationship with Kanan (then again, her calling Ezra cute might have been something else...and I hope it wasn't...))? Idk, probably just an Inquisitor looking to better herself and gain favor with Vader and the Emperor.

Off course I'm glad the rebels didn't have it all their own way, glad Vader was brought back to make sure the Empire took control, can't wait to see what inquisitor Vader selected to go to Lothal to face Kana & Ezra once again.
