SPECULATION Second Solo Kid Still Possible?

In the Legends, Han and Leia had three kids: Jaina and Jacen (twins) and Anakin.
The three were sent to the Jedi Academy, and Jacen later became a Sith (Darth Caedus). But beforehand, he had a daughter called Allana.

Luke is 53 in TFA. So he would have 33 when Rey was born. I guess her mom could be 13 at the time of birth. Luke had a child while he was on Tatooine or right after he left?

 

i'm a believer that one of the reasons so many things where left ambiguous in force awakens so that they could leave as many avenues open as possible so they could change their mind depending on fan reaction and which direction future film makers wanted to go.

So i think they left the door ajar incase they wanted to their to be a second Solo child(Rey or other wise) but i don't think it is the direction they will go in as it would take a lot of explanation.

 

Answer: Yes, if it will make Disney more money.

 

I wish that Lt. Connix was/is related. She looks just like Leia (for obvious reasons), has her hairdo, and is her assistant. In several scenes, she's near her or right next to her, yet they're not related? That makes no sense.

However, I still believe that Rey is the 2nd Solo kid.

Funny...If Lt. Connix was Han and Leia's daughter, she actually looks younger than Rey, I think, but Billie Lourd is a few years older than Daisy Ridley.

 

I know no one's spoken in this thread for quite some time, but I need to get this out of the way:

While I do think having Kylo Ren as our new Solo and Rey as our new Skywalker seals the deal, I would love to see Lieutenant Connix be revealed as the second Solo kid if another is being considered.

I know that would seem kind of cheap since Billie Lourd (Connix) is Carrie Fisher's real life daughter. However, it would explain a few things...

Plus if they have another child, it would make more sense - in my opinion - to have them change her name and pass her off as a normal Resistance worker rather than dropping her off on Jakku. It would also explain why they don't mention another kid other than Kylo. Because their other kid is literally right there, still with them and working with them.

The other day, I remember reading a comment to a post about Disney's decision for the fate of Leia. It went a little like this...

So Connix takes over for her mother as General of the Resistance and Luke and Rey have another Skywalker on their team

But best of all - again, in my opinion - if Connix and Poe Dameron form a romance of their own and so do Rey and Finn, Connix and Poe will have Han and Leia's grandchildren. And Rey and Finn will have Luke's grandchildren. The Skywalker and Solo bloodlines continue!

 

I guess it's possible there could be another Solo kid, in fact it might make more sense now that Carrie has passed on. I would assume the inevitable confrontation between Ben and Leia would take place in EP IX. What if they wanted to keep that family confrontation, and an estranged sibling (unless it's someone we've already met) could be an easy way to still have that conflict? Just replace Mother-Son, with Brother/Sister-Brother conflict It carries more weight that Uncle-Nephew. It doesn't necessarily mean they are younger than Ben, could be older and hidden away and/or thought dead, or even from a previous relationship.

During the OT, the Skywalker twins weren't part of the original story, but it evolved over time based on many factors... Same could hold true here.

 

I actually do think it's very possible it's Rey.

 

Yep. I'm starting to join the band that is singing about her being a Solo as well. I can really see her being assumed dead for one reason or another.

 

It would certainly be interesting if they introduced a hidden Organa-Solo child to take the place of Leia in whatever Kylo's arc is.

Would give a new reading to Leia's interactions with Rey; someone she sees her hidden daughter in.



Perhaps they'd even go so far as to make Kylo's obsession with "the girl" part of his search for his sister.

 

I don't see the reason or logic behind Han and Leia keeping it from her for the entire movie. Also, why would one of most famous and well protected families have to ditch their daughter?

 

Because their son was just manipulated into becoming a Sith Lo- er, I mean "Knight of Ren".

 

So leave her alone and defenseless in poverty in a hopeless situation? Yea, much better better then protecting new her yourself.

And then end up sending her to her uncle just like her brother anyway? (While never telling your daughter, who is desperate for her family, that you're her mother

 

Yeah she was giving clues in interviews, but I doubt it.

 

This is a stretch for sure, but I'll throw it out anyway. What if she was on the Falcon when it was stolen? Not sure when the theivery occurred in history, to even be possible. She could've been assumed dead. Han might have known or suspected but died too soon.

 

Ben turning on Luke happened long after Rey was left on Jakku. Ben was around 15 years old when she was left. He destroyed the Jedi 10+ years later. The timeline given to us in Bloodline and the fact the book is about Leia's family and never mentions another child really makes another Solo child a long shot. Unless Han had a kid with another woman.

Also, when Han first sees Finn/Rey he wanted to ditch them on the first inhabited planet. There's nothing in the film to suggest he recognizes her. In Bloodline, it's mentioned that he's taken a few people under wing over the years. So taking an interest in her isn't unusual for his character.

 

I think if there is another Solo then the only possibility is that it is Rey. I do think the Reysolontheory has flaws but at this point isn't the game I have ruled nothing out. That being said, my opinion is there are no other Solos

 

I don't think they should be beholden the plot points of a tie-in novel released before they knew Carrie would pass away. I know, "canon", but at the end of the day it's the movies that matter more.
