Seen anything in The Force Awakens that disappointed you?

Maybe using a another super weapon? I know, at this point they're like nukes, SW can be about ANYTHING.

 

For me it's a lack of what I've seen. At this point people know I want Rey to use the force, be a Skywalker of some sort, and use a lightsaber. I understand them holding out on showing it, if she has any scenes depicting said acts, but that's all I want to know. At that point I can shut off all spoilers completely and wait for the movie to come out.

 

You know, I would have loved to see a weapon that doesnt destroy a planet, but instead kills all living things. Imagine and energy wave that kills all living things on a planet. You could then take over that planet and take all its tech, and Fuels. All while walking over the dead corpses of your enemys. That would be cold and truly evil.

This is an excellent concept for a thread but for reason you probably don't fully intend. It is definitely helping identify some people who should either just be dismissed from here on out, or just out on the ignore list. Thank you for your service OP.

 

Looks like Leia never embraced the Force. Disappointing.

 

First thing to disappoint me somewhat.. the Empire still exists (but Fartkraum! They're The First Order!!!) Oh shuddup would ya.. When I saw Stormtroopers would still be prevalent, it showed that they were going for the "its like poetry, it rhymes" approach rather than drastically changing the political landscape of the universe. I can live with this though, the stormtroopers will eventually go away as it'll get too repetitive..

Third Death Star... Oh boy. A third Death Star. Even Mark Hamill thought two were too many. However at least its not the Sun Crusher *shudders*

Thats really all, and if Luke isn't in the movie then i'll add that to the list.

I'm also not 100% on the stormtroopers having lightsaber shields on their arms or whatever that is.. it feels like Jedi no longer have a huge advantage, however this will make the video games more challenging so thats a plus.

All in all i'm not disappointed by much, I don't see any Goongas or CGI troopers so they're on the right track.

I would have loved if they could have it done without another superweapon. Just pimp up its destructive force and that's "originial"? Very derivative, IMHO. What's next, a superweapon that can destroy an entire galaxy?

 

So the people who were crying about Rey wearing that same outfit throughout the entire movie. Remember, Han Solo wore the same outfit for 3 movies straight.

 

Kylo Ren's voice; but the lines we've heard may be taken out of context. I didn't like the trailer music we've been given (minus the most recent one). It all sounds like it's coming from an electronic keyboard.

Some of Kylo's lines sound like Stephen Wright standup.

"I will show them the dark side...anyway. Speaking of which, you ever wonder, what's the speed of dark?"

 

I'm harboring nothing but excitement at this point. I don't see this as something we deserve, or that we deserve to have made a certain way. It's a creative collaboration between a bunch of people that wanted nothing but to make something great and enjoyable for more than a core fanbase, (and Disney who wants money, but I'm trying to focus on the LFL side of things.)
But for the sake of catharsis, I'm disappointed that the full length trailer gave away that shot of Rey crying over something/someone. I'm surprised that one made it out of Panora's the Mystery Box.

 

My favorite joke from him, "I have a life-size map, 1 mile = 1 mile."

 

I'm a little disappointed that the desert planet isn't Tattooine. I know we've seen Tattooine plenty of times, but it is a planet that has been interwoven throughout the saga. We could have been shown changes that take place on the planet over generations, and the scars the planet developed. The battle of Jakku could have just as easily taken place over Tattooine, and we could have seen a familiar landscape changed as a cost of the war. I'm still kind of hoping that Jakku is just an area on Tattooine, like Mos Eisley. Wishful thinking though.

I also wish Starkiller Base was on Hoth, for the same reasons. It would make sense that that was Hoth, the Empire did take Hoth from the Rebels...

Not a fan of Maz being older than Yoda. Luke should be the ancient wise master not a pirate force sensitive.
