I love the Prequels era (Arguably more so than the Originals). And I do love the references the writer's have made so far in Star Wars Rebels in regards to the Republic.
I loved how the droid army and Trade Federation/CIS looked in the PT. All the ships & the technology they used looked fantastic. (However, one could argue it looks & acts more sophisticated than the technology they had in the OT & even now the ST. But that's another topic.)
I'm just wondering would anyone like to see anything more Trade Federation/CIS related, re-appear in Rebels somewhere down the line? I know we have got at least one Trade Federation/CIS reference so far, when Ahsoka reveal's the head of a an old Tactical Droid to help find Captain Rex in the Season 2 episode ''The Lost Commanders''. Though at the end of ROTS when Palpatine orders the immediate shut down of all Separatist droid units, ships & bases. Its still possible that other remaining Separatist technology also fell into the hands of other company (Pirates,Smuggler's Etc) & used for other proposes after the Clone Wars had ended. Not just left for ruin's in old battlegrounds.
Also, the Rebellion over time could have found some abandoned CIS warships somewhere & decided too use them in their growing fleet, (like the picture below). That would be amazing to see. They are a Rebellion afterall, and their resources are restricted majority of the time because the Empire now owns everything. So realistically, they should take what they can get.
We know that Separatist technology can still be reprogrammed afterall. Perfect examples are in the Canon novel Star Wars: Aftermath. A boy named Temmen reprograms a B1 unit to serve as his assistant/sidekick. Then, in another Canon novel titled Star Wars: The Crimson Corsair & The Lost Treasure Of Count Dooku. We get an old Seperatist Providence -class dreadnaught, that crashed landed on the planet Penomah during the near end Clone Wars & it lies in the wastes of sands for five decades (Close to the events of TFA). After liying there for 50 years, the ship & all the deactiveated Seperatist droids on board slowly begin to reactive, due to numerous Ion storm's that swept over the region over the years.
So there's proof that Separatist technology can still be of use & I would very much love to see something like this happen. Just to show that not everything Clone Wars related suddenly disappeared over the course of 15 years. Let us know what you think :)

It's certainly feasible such technology should still be around the galaxy and still functional, even if they're "under new management," so to speak.

Ship designs and robotics throughout the prequels were aesthetically interesting and impressive.

It might be cool and appropriate to be able to see some of that tech again but in new contexts, wherever it makes sense to reintroduce it.

Maybe there could be a The Force Awakens Jakku-like planet in the Rebels timeline, a place where many such Prequel Era things could exist in various states of dereliction. Perhaps that world would be where such stuff gets recycled, scavenged, or bartered for parts.

Such stuff there could be used to provide much-needed materials and makeshift ships for the fledgling Rebellion.

We've seen prequel-era technology appear in three of the novels: Tarkin, Aftermath and Lords of the Sith. I can't remember the timeline, exactly, but Tarkin and Lords of the Sith are near Rebels, I think. It would be neat if something like that made an appearance. But I think whatever might appear should show its age. Old hulks and wreckage, beaten down and repurposed droids... that sort of thing.

Oh my, I think I really need to concentrate more on my researching of things Aha. Turns out in the mobile game, Star Wars: Commander. (Literally the only Star Wars game I haven't played before) Already as a bunch of Clone Wars vehicles & droids in it, that have been re purposed by the Rebel Alliance to help fight the Empire. Everything from old CIS IG - 227 Hailfire-class Droid Tanks (Renamed Rebel Hailfire Droids), Old Republic AT-AP Walker's, Old Republic AT-TE's, Old Republic LAAT Gunship's, Old Republic AT-RT Walker's & Old CIS AAT-1 Hover Tanks, (Shown Below). Can't beleive I didn't know about this sooner & best of all, its all Canon! I gotta say I'm very pleased with what Disney have done so far, by trying there best to tie the entire trilogies together like this. Deffinatley something that the old EU lacked & its fantastic to finally see. Gonna download the game right now, so excited!! :D

If we see something like this in Rogue One, I will be a very, very happy man! Re-purposed and modified AT-TE and LAAT please! As far as CIS technology, its viable, but we have to remember the Separatists had so many people with modified droids. We had the Trade Federation, then the Techho Union, the Munn Banking Clan, etc, with their wide varieties of droids, it would be hard to use them. As seen in Lords of the Sith, Syndulla's forces spent years getting them to work, let alone function together, so it would be pointless because most were droid controlled, which financially would be harder for Rebels to use for typical battles.

Because all of the ships and stuff in The PT are supposed to look all shiny and whatnot to show the republic and the galaxy in its Prime and The Rebels are supposed to be guerilla fighters with little-to-no tech .

I do agree with you there. However, I'd like to think its also still possible that the Rebellion still recruited CIS and Republic military warships that they may have found, into there artillery and fleet. Because they are a rebellion after all and they need to take what the can get to help battle the Empire lol :p

That's actually why I secretly hoped we would see some cool ironic imagery of The Resistsnce using Star Destroyers in TFA but we didn't even see one command ship -_-

I wouldn't be opposed, especially as we see other ships from the Prequel era, including some Imperial craft which were originally used by the Republic Navy. I think the majority should still be closer to OT designs, though, simply due to being closer in time period. But some Separatist or Republic vehicles would be very welcome. And I would love an episode just involving old battle droids. Hell, they could do an Assault on Precinct 13-style episode where our main characters and some Imperials have to work together against hostile battle droids. That would be awesome.

Sort of similar to iRobot except with Battle Droids...I think seeing A Repuvlic Cruiser from TCW/ROTS with faded colours on it looking like it's been suped up with ST-Republic Tech except being used by The NR would be epic in my opinion .
