A very very old misogynist? Sounds like one of my uncles!

Alright so I read the article... Serkis isn't really saying much. He's just putting it out there that the character of Snoke COULD BE revisited in the future, which is obvious and isn't something many on this forum haven't already said. He's not confirming anything. I guess it is cool though that these filmmakers have a backstory for him, even if it's yet to be used.

    Nice.

To push this entire subject just one step from sanatory, they dressed mysoginic Snoke like Hugh Hafner.

"Few centuries" is old, but still doesn't place him in the Old Republic era.

That still isn't what J. J. Abrams said, in spite of what that article's headline told you.

True, I've heard them refer to it as such. I like that, it simplifies things.

I meant the "KOTOR" era, at least as I understood it.

I guess Revan (or whatever his close equivalent in this canon would be) could not necessarily be bound to be 1,000 years before the OT, but we do know that Tarre Viszla was around that time. We may be able to assume that the Mandalorian Wars (a key part of the old canon KOTOR era) were also before then, too, seeing as Viszla's induction as a Mandalorian into the Jedi was apparently a pretty big deal- but that's not written in stone, necessarily.

You're totally right, though- even an Old Republic story isn't bound by Revan or anything KOTOR. Plus, it would be interesting to see the Jedi a few hundred years before Yavin. We'd still have a relatively old Yoda than, by the way.
