    The Jar Jar thing is brought up a lot, and fair...

    But it doesn't really take into account that most of the tone of TPM is extremely adult.

    Like, the central conflict is about taxation policies.

    The central conflict in "TPM" was about Palpatine's bid for power.

    You have the same thing in the Original movies. You have politics, adult romance and ambiguous morality mixed with characters like the droids and the Ewoks, along with action and dialogue for the kids. I regard the Star Wars movies and entertainment for all ages and not one particular generation.
