Disney is NOT, I repeat, is NOT going to erase an entire star wars trilogy, created by GL himself from canon. Ain't gonna happen in this galaxy, in a galaxy far far away or in any parallel universe. I don't care how much certain people may not like it, it's simply NOT going to happen and to think Disney would even CONSIDER this is ludicrous.

If they released Special Editions along the lines of the Anti-Cheese Edits that'd be handsome.

(anyone know where I can see the Anti Cheese Edits now they've been wiped from YouTube?)

I think Rogue One was a pretty good example of how to treat the prequels in future films.

Rogue One didn't hide the fact that the prequels happened. Many references and easter eggs call back to them. HOWEVER, the film itself does not "feel" like a prequel installment.

The prequels are here to stay. They're not going anywhere, and even though they might feel really out of place for some fans of the series, we need to bridge those gaps, not widen them.

    I'm voting no.

Not everyone loves the PT, some don't like parts of the OT and others aren't keen on the ST or stand-alones... heck, based on some posts there are registered users who don't seem to like ANY of it which just bemuses me.

In the end, if we all liked the same thing half the debate and posts on this great site wouldn't exist, so let's just accept we're lucky to have any of them and roll on with the banter, opinions, speculation and fun that it brings us.

    MTFBWY.

Thank you. Get a grip people. We can't have our Vader cake and eat it to so............each and everyone of us has to bite the bullet at some point or another. We all as star wars fans don't like something or another about the story of seven films. It's best we just bite the bullet and handle it like adults. Voicing our opinion intelligently is different then bitching, moaning, insulting and negative rating every person who does not agree with what we don't agree with.

If they wipe the prequels, then they'll have to wipe the OT. It's call connected. This isnt a CBM that can be continuously rebooted if enough people deem it to not work. But wait---the OT was "technically rebooted" with TFA so who knows now

No, definitely not. It completes the saga perfectly.
However, I would not be totally against Disney doing a remake of them. But they would have to keep certain actors like Ewan McGregor, Liam Neeson, Samuel L. Jackson, and others as their respective roles. Maybe a CGI Christopher Lee like they did for Tarkin? :D

The PT are bad movies that I love. TFA is a film with flaws that I love. Movies are subjective. You can not change someone's mind. Stop wasting your time. I'm out of here! This is boarding on TFN boards basher/gusher wars of old. Giving negative rating just to spite someone.... oy vey

I'm sorry, please don't take this personally, but I really hope they don't do this.

The prequel trilogy happened. You don't have to watch it, I don't have to watch it, but if we want to (and some people do), we can. If Disney went back to mess with things and remake the PT... good lord, that would be a mess. PT fanboys would be absolutely furious that their films were getting shafted (have you seen how people reacted to Lucas's tampering with the OT?) and PT haters would be furious that the studio is spending more time on Prequel Films.

I think the demographic that would actually be excited with a remake of these films would be an exceedingly small minority. But hey, maybe I'm wrong.

    Enjoyment of films is subjective.

    Quality is less subjective.

You can love a bad movie. (I Love Van Helsing for no real good reason)

You can dislike a great movie. (I will go down in flames saying Fight Club is not that enjoyable)

But I can recognize that Van Helsing IS a terrible movie and that Fight Club is actually well made

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. They are such a big part of cannon and peoples childhood. Disney would receive extreme amounts of fan backlash

His point is he is tired of being bashed mentally for him liking the Prequels. We understand people dislike them but we don't need forced opinions on us.

Some people here are notorious for trying to force their opinion on others.

An example: "How can you like that garbage? YEAH. A crying kid ends up being the greatest Sith Lord who has mommy issues... YEAH"

What is really being said: "Your an idiot for liking the Prequels."

It is one thing to disagree and give reasons. "Well I disagree with you liking the Prequels because they were so bland."

Its another to use an abusive attitude in your tone which belittles anyone who likes the Prequels.

I am not making a personal accusation, rather explaining his position.

Just a heads up. We banned user @Brad. It appears that it was a fake account of the user @Darth Board, who is also banned. Having second account in The Cantina is forbidden, especially when it is made just for trolling purposes.

Being a fan of the Prequel movies, I would ban anything Disney forever if the studio decide to erase the PT movies from canon or remake them.
