    I disagree with him.

To me best Star Wars movies are EP III and V.

My least favorite is EP IV, But I like all of them.

Not all of us hate PT. Many of us are fans too.

It is really funny how Simon Pegg has no problem bashing PT movies. But he defended awful canon crushing Star Trek movies like crazy. Star trek fans hate Abrams star trek movies. 1000 times more than some OT fans hate PT.
Simon Pegg was very offensive to Star trek fans. He called them crazy and that they need to ''Shut up''.

I really dislike him ever since.

Maybe the Prequels are bad as movies but, in my point of view, they have wonderful content on it. TPM looks miles better then TFA when talking about content. Let´s wait and see.

I dislike TPM so much I don't even remember anything about it. Seriously, I have seen it maybe twice, years apart and have successfully suppressed most memories of it. The movie was so bad and my expectations were so high I think it really did traumatize me.

All I remember is some boring prattle about a trade blockade, Liam Neeson's horrible stringy hair and this annoying kid with a high midichlorian titer. All this talk of pointless battles and whatnot- I don't remember it at all. I don't know the plot. I think it's buried deep in my subconsciousness, and there it shall stay.

    So for me it goes:

    TPM-ROTS-AOTC-ROTJ-TESB-ANH

To me, ANH is the best mostly due to the nostalgia factor, but also the chemistry of the Big Three all together was really something to behold, and their screen time was more equal. I'm a big Leia fan and her part was strongest in this movie, I believe.

And I can't stand Pegg or his lame unfunny movies. Freedom of choice is wonderful :)

I disagree that prequels are bad. In my opinion they are a million times better than the modern blockbusters.
In my opinion all Star Wars movies are great.

One thing I really like about prequels are their worlds full of details. They look soo alive.
Visually OT films are too minimalistic for my taste.

i agree. He is very annoying.
He can not stand when someone criticizes his work. He becomes very hostile.
But he has no problem to criticizes someone else movies and work.

"We all kindof hate the PT"? All of us? Are you speaking on behalf of all STAR WARS fans?

I believe it was me that wrote that message. That was merely an opinion, hence the "I think". And perhaps "hate" was too strong a word (it does lead to suffering and what not). I quite like a lot about the PT, but there is much that I dislike as well. I believe the vast majority of STAR WARS fans share a similar feeling, more or less. But, a "vast majority" and "all" are not synonymous. So, I was most likely almost right, but completely wrong.

I find it ironic that although I love all of Lucas' six films, I found it easier to immediately embrace the PT than I did the OT.

Maybe because of the pacing and set pieces and set design

I love ALL the Star Wars films (including the prequels) for their own reasons.

I think I was simply old enough to really appreciate the saga as a whole, when I was older . . . by the time the PT movies were released.

Mostly, the difference, particularly in Ep. 3 (think Order 66), was that many of the more outlandish outdoor planets were primarily rendered in CGI, whereas in the OT, TPM, and TFA, the crew actually visited locations to film at. As the OT and TFA demonstrate, CGI does seem to give more artistic freedom, whatever one's view of the final product's quality might be (I find myself somewhere in the middle. I felt the CGI was overdone a lot, but I did love the world-building of the prequels in general).

but they had no choice and also Lucas used them as CGI experiments as well to test the newest technologies that his VFX company ILM had invented .

    Cant agree AT ALL.
They all have their fair share of crap but Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi share my personal #1 or 2 favorite. So much explained and tragically changed for the worst. ROTS makes me cry damn near every time. And I want to high-five anyone after Vader turn back to the light.
Empire Strikes Back and Attack of the Clones but hovers around the bottom. Something about Hoth makes me angry, and Dooku winning makes me want to slap a Jedi.
No matter what movie i am watching though, watching my VHS tape next to the Blu-ray version is always the bomb. Timing is all screwy but its fun to try to get it in sync until the Lucas edits get it off again

I only ever loop watch A New Hope and The Phantom Menace on a daily basis. There's so much to see and learn in them, still to this day. I kinda wish The Phantom Menace was stretched out to make the complete PT, although we wouldn't get to see Anakin change to Vader but y'kno what I mean! Episode 1 is Star Wars thru and thru.

No. Those aspects have nothing to do with it. I was able to appreciate the saga a lot more as an adult than I was as a child.
