(Slight Spoilers) A VERY familiar face from TCW could appear in either episodes 8 or 9?

So I've just learnt that one of my favourite Clone Trooper's from TCW, Kix. Is still alive around aproximatley 4-5 years before (or maybe even during) the events of The Force Awakens. I won't go into exact detail on HOW he is still alive but he ends up joining a pirate crew led by Sidon Ithano also known as the Crimson Corsair. (Guy all in red in the group picture below) If you want to know how this all happens properly. You'll have to go read the canon novel, Star Wars: Journey to the Force Awakens - The Crimson Corsair & the Lost treasure of Count Dooku, to find out.

My question is could he make an appearance in the either epsiodes 8 or 9? It would make sense enough to bring him back & it would be an excellent way to bring back the actor who played Jango & all the Clones, Temuera Morrison into the franchise again. It also makes an excellent tie in to the Prequel Trilogy aswell, making them all feel truly connected.
Considering Kix's knowledge of the The Old Republic he fought for & the mistakes they made. He could very well be useful to the New Republic & Resistence aswell. On providing them information on how to avoid corruption etc that he learnt from his experience with the accused 'traitor' Clone, Fives. Or, maybe something else entirely.
Or do you think they may continue on his story in another format? Either way for me, I ain't to fussed how they tell his story in the end. I just want them to tell it somehow! In the end this might seem alittle far fetched, but I do believe they brought back his character for a specific purpose for the new trilogy. I love the Clones just as much as the Jedi & in my opinion this is such a cool way to keep the Clone trooper legacy alive!

This picture features the Crimson Corsair & his pirate crew (To which briefly appeared in The Force Awakens in Maz Katana's Castle). Circled in red is what I believe & what many other's also believe to be Kix, wearing what looks like to be an old Imperial Shadow Trooper outfit. Weither he found this outfit during his travels with the pirates & decided to roll with it we don't know but I myself am fairly confident it is indeed him. Let us know your thoughts :)

It would be very interesting to know more about him but I greatly hope that he isn't just shoehorned into the movie without any logical explaination. There were many things in TFA that I felt that were just stuck there for no other reason than for nostalgia or fan service and it would really ruin Kix's story if they did the same. Clone Troopers have acelerated grouth and seeing as Kix was already an adult during the CW that tells us that he had the process done on him as well. That said, a well told story about how they stopped his grouth aceleration could fix this. They would also have to consider freezing him in carbonite or something cause as I said before, Kix was already an adult during the CW and he was present in the events before ROTS. It would be 53 years from ROTS to TFA and we don't know yet how many years are going to pass till Episode 8. This could be a problem as Kix could end up being really really old. Asuming Kix had the considered age of 20 year old adult during ROTS, adding the 53 time till TFA and assuming that just 2 years pass after TFA, that would give us a 75 year old Kix. That's really to old to make him an awesome warrior yet carbonite can fix that in a sintch and I for one would really love to see him still around kicking butt and taking names and just as you said, he would be a great help to the Resistance with all his knowledge and seeing Temuera Morrison once more would be great as well.

Yeah I know what you mean, but It wasn't like that Aha. He ended up getting frozen in a stasis chamber at the near end of the Clone Wars, which would have halted is aging. He was in there for 50 years until he was re awoken by a group of pirates, around the same time as the events of The Force Awakens.
So yeah, its not like he lived that long naturally. Because as you mentioned with their excellerated aging, all the Fett Clone would have been long dead by the time of the Force Awakens events. So yeah thats how only Kix (Could say the last Clone Trooper) has survived this long.
Also, since Kix's aging was halted while in statis. He would still have roughly 20 years left in him because of his accelerated aging. Rex, Wolfee & Gregor are perfect examples of this, having lived on 17 years after the Clone Wars ended. Even though their bio age would be in their mid to late twenty's but there accelerated aging would make them close to 55 - 60 around the time of Star Wars Rebels. :)

Background at most, like the dude with the data core on Cloud City in ESB that became a fan hero back in the day.

This is the kind of stuff they throw in for the true fans, but it rarely makes it into the forefront of the stories. I love all the little easter eggs: like how the Falcon can be seen departing a Coruscant spaceport in Ep III (?) and the increasingly obscure references to THX1138 (trooper # in IV, on Boushh Leia's helmet in VI).

Look to peripheral media and the new EU for Kix's story to be told - comics, short stories, novels, mobile and video games, live action and animated tv shows and the like.
