Yea, to me, the crack in the head would be caused by something heavy, like a heavy, metal, bladed weapon.

I sit corrected! :) ... I've learned not to trust every picture like that on the internet since they are So easily manipulated and websites can grab pictures without verifying and report on them.. . I searched his twitter and found that Kristin Hildago shared it on RJ page with no captions. RJ didn't post it himself. You are probably correct but still could be something she found and shared with him.

Snoke and Luke have a force bond.

Snoke can get into Luke's head just as Kylo can with Rey. Snoke has driven Luke into exile as he has the ability to manipulate and partially control him.

Luke has travelled to the only planet (the one with the force tree) that conceals his whereabouts. He is on a quest to find the solution to destroying Snoke.

Snoke has always kept his distance in fear that Luke can destroy him. He manipulates things from afar. He always has....

I believe that the dialogue we hear from Luke in the trailer ("It's time for the Jedi to end") is in fact Snoke's manipulation. At this point in the film, Snoke has discovered Luke's location and can now penetrate his mind again. Snoke remains on his mobile command ship and travels close enough to the planet to start causing damage to Luke without having to confront him as he fears it's possible Luke can still destroy him. He now sends Kylo and his posse to finish him. Problem is, Rey is with him and is more powerful than he imagined.

Basically, Luke is a broken man, being driven insane by Snoke and he has to be saved. Enter Rey. He's not evil. He hasn't/doesn't use the dark side. He's been screwed up. But like the Luke Skywalker we know and love, he's doing the RIGHT THING.

I believe that Snoke's bond with Luke is because he is the Skywalker's creator. I won't start name dropping his former identity, but you know what I'm thinking.

Snoke still fears Luke as he admits that if Skywalker returns the new Jedi will rise. He knows he's vulnerable - we just don't know all the facts yet. He wants him destroyed but doesn't want direct involvement, which is why Kylo's is doing his donkey work.

Rey turning up on Ahch-To is another reason why he's pissed off. His location may now been known to Snoke and the FO.

Look at the art of TFA book and the way Luke is depicted in certain sketches. It's like he's being controlled/manipulated by a monster.

Let's toss this quote (which may have some connection) in here for good measure!

“If you follow the direction, and project into the final trilogy [i.e. Episode VII-IX], you realise that you’re going to meet the supreme intellect, and you think how is it possible to create a man who has such profound cunning that he can not only control Darth Vader, but the fate of Luke Skywalker? Control the destiny of the whole galaxy? You’ll be amazed!”

Yea, I agree. I hadn't see that. It more like someone handing you something, then a picture is snapped. Not like he is throwing it in the face of fans about all their ideas.

Snoke is very powerful, a puppet master, and obviously a great intellect, and wise strategian .

Many fans have a difficulty to accept the immensity of manipulative power of Snoke. Though its clear from reading novels he influenced Ben Solo from his birth, he even defines himself as a "Sculptor" who is interested in shaping to his standards those living beings that are made of right material , by his criteria. A unique, precious and crushing knowledge and power, that obviously interferes with abilities of manipulate with life itself.

Snoke's power is a major prerequisite for good trilogy, he must be powerfull, and he is powerfull. His insights penetrate trough the Galaxy like a net.
And I think I even found the glipse of that net concept in adviser Tashu "halucinations" in Aftermath Life Debt.

I don't know what is Snoke's physical power, probably he avoids direct physical confrontation due to his weak body (we will see), but I am sure that Snoke is immensly powerful with the Force .

I think a lot of people are taking Snoke for granted based on his appearance. We might not see much of him in VIII, but what we will see and what will likely be seen in IX might be shocking.

We have very reliable offical information- statement by Rian Johnson himself, that Snoke will not be explained in TLJ into details.
Jet, we have slightly less reliable but by my opinion thrustworthy information Snoke is dangerous, fearful(fearsome).
We also have prety much solid information he will interact with Kylo Ren alot in TLJ and he will be very demanding on Kylo.

I agree Snoke is left for Ep IX to be revealed, and it will be shocking.

    Snoke is a giant!

I know everyone said he is 7 feet tall but I didn't realized that means he is so big.

He looks like a biblical Nephilim.
