    At first I was like Vanee has to be Snoke. Then Pablo Hildalgo said that was not true on Twitter. But... Do you think it's possible that Snoke was in Rogue One? Who is he? Did Vader have a secret apprentice on Mustifar?

    Palpy sensed something in the Unknown Regions so powerful that he thought it might be the dark side itself and that it was that entity from which his power flowed.
    The Imperial Remnant retreated into the same Unknown Regions (razing a research station dedicated to the exploration of said regions when the Battle of Jakku was lost), eventually returning as the First Order with what looks to be an ancient corpse as their leader.
    That leader ensares Luke Skywalker's oldest apprentice and compells Luke to leave everything in search of ancient knowledge (presumably).

    The First Order has weaponry unheard of in the wider galaxy (including hyperspace weapons); even their mundane ships of the line are rumored to utilize kyber.
    Kylo Ren wields a blade of seemingly ancient design.

    Long story short: we don't know what Snoke is, but you tell me if he is anything we've seen before or even close to it.
    I would be very surprised if Snoke turned out to be a previously introduced character or Sith for that matter.

    Well, they're both old. And it could be kind of cool if Snoke was Vader's butler. But I highly doubt they're remotely related. Haha.

    Snoke is probably a new character, but storywise they will borrow a lot from Plagueis I reckon. This is a good video I just watched.
