FACT: Snoke is even less interesting than Finn or Captain Phasma.

I keep hoping that the SSD Eclipse that was waiting in the Unknown Regions at the end of Empires End is commanded by Thrawn.

Yes, that I got through her dream, but Palpatine was long dead before she got pregnant. So who was alive that might be a secret dark side user and watching them? Rax.

We know nothing about him yet. That is intentional.

But In Life debt, as a boy he resisted the force, sort of like Rey resisted Ren....hinted at.

We know he's from Jakku, and as mentioned above, it's been hinted at-that he is force sensitive. There is still no physical description of him yet. and he was Sidious's only contingency plan at his death, the destiny.

So though Rax may be dead according to interpretation. That is just an interpretation.

    Case in point?

    Darth Maul.

But i do respect your opinion on this, and like you say we'll see soon enough.. :)

I'd hope they keep Snoke's species (assuming he's an alien and not a human in bad health) and origins a mystery. I think it works better that he remains an enigma.

Obviously I think there will eventually be an Episode X, X1 and X11 (To much money to be made). It would be cool to keep him a mystery. Maybe if he is in fact from another galaxy and Palpatine was correct in sensing that the source of his power was from that galaxy they could use Snoke as a springboard in a trilogy about the origins of the force.

Snoke has been a mystery to me ever since I saw the film. How can Snoke be Thrawn? He doesn't even have red eyes. Your Snoke theory sucks. I'm just happy that these outlandish theories are finally being abolished. Speculation is good but when one creates 700 pages like a dissertation to prove they are right is really weird. Whoever Rey is I'm welcome to it. I can't wait for April 14 not because I want to see the trailer, I can wait till December to enjoy the film but simply to abolish Reylo from existence... hahahah

    lol good stuff

Snoke is definitely not Thrawn but I think it's plausible that Thrawn (Del Torro?) emerges in TLJ.. perhaps on the Eclipse, as we know that's what was waiting for them in the Unknown at the end of Empire's End. And we know that Thrawn's intel helped map the coordinates.

Similarly, I'm not sure Snoke is the "malevolent substance" from the Unknown that Palpatine was referring to, suggesting he is also an "Origin of the Force". I think it's quite possible that Snoke is it's spokesman or right hand. The "Supreme Leader". I know we don't know much about him so it's all speculative but I just don't see who they refer to as Supreme Leader to be a reverent term. Wouldn't Lord or Master or Emperor etc be more indicative of the source of what haunted and pulled Sheev's senses to the beyond?

Who knows. I just think it's possible that the true Dark Side presence we await has yet to present itself. And as mysterious as Snoke remains, he is most likely the key to finding that presence. The one or one's whom the "Knights of Ren" truly worship.

As much as I enjoyed Counselor Rax' character and do believe he is/was significant, I can't possibly see him being Snoke or anything but dead. He was human. There is no suggestion whatsoever to suggest he was Force Sensitive in any way.. nor did his behaviour and actions suggest it either. Rax is dead. He fulfilled the "Contingency". I'd find it more plausible that Tashu was Snoke lol. It is also stated that path coordinates were transmitted by the Sentinals aboard the Imperialis to "Imperials considered loyal" to Palpatine. Who could they be? Is this where Snoke and/or Thrawn emerges from?? Those 12 locations the Sentinals transmitted those coordinates to I'm assuming are the other "Observatories" scattered about the Galaxy. Much like the Star Map locations of KOTOR that together lead to the Star Forge. A similar power awaits them in the Unknown.. I'm sure Snoke is a part of it but I don't think he's the SOURCE of that power

Part of me wonders if Snoke really isn't the dark force the emperor felt in the unknown regions but just herold for that dark entity. Kind of like the Mouth of Sauron.

    Exactly!!

There's some theories going around that he could be a "fallen Whill". I dunno about that but there could be something to it

They did finally mention the Whills in Rogue One, but it seems like a stretch to me, who knows though...

Actually. There was one major hint given that Rax is force sensitive.

In Life Debt, when he sneaks on the Imperial ship, and encounters Palpatine he clearly withstands his Force command.

Secondly, there is only one other person Palpatine has ever spoken to in this way.

I give you a new life. A better one. I give you a task that, if you manage, will lead you to greater things. Not something so mundane as a job, but a role. A purpose. I sense in you potential. A destiny. Most people have no destiny.”

    A certain Anakin.

Yes, but he had Anakin himself at the time. He wasn't taking Rax on as an apprentice. He was preparing him to do the job he needed done. That doesn't suggest transference of Force powers.
