Snoke is NOT Darth Plagueis- so who is he?

The emperor was probably more important politically than as a force user, but that's debatable. We will see if Supreme Leader Snoke has the same manipulation skills.

I think you missed what I meant. I was referring to the spores that control ant's minds. I said Snoke was a mushroom (spore-based organism), you said he was a zombie. So, if Snoke is not a mushroom zombie, but a mushroom zombie, his soldiers and workers must be lesser ants, and him the queen.

 

I like the idea that Snoke is at least as old as the Sith Order.

 

Do the making of books or stuff say anything about his age ?

 

Nothing has ever been said about Snoke's life before he took over what was left of the Empire beyond Serkis saying that he wasn't part of the Empire.

 

I'm trying to think about who he would be...maybe he is similar to that force character in R1 where he doesn't practice the Jedi ways but believes strgonly in the ways of the force and is masquerading as an all-powerful being when he's really not similar to Wizard of Oz
.

 

I hope Snoke is like Antman but doesn't need a suit.

Here's an interesting theory that I read on another forum: Snoke and the First Order have been around at least as long as the Jedi. The Sith were a cult based on making Snoke's ideas reality in the "Known Regions." Palpatine modeled his Empire after the First Order and after the Battle of Jakku, the First Order absorbed what was left of the Empire.

 

Snoke is beyond ancient and uses the force to cheat death.

Rey Sunrider was murdered millennia ago, but keeps getting reincarnated. Meh.

Plagueis mastered the art of midichlorian manipulation, learned how to create life and save others from death.

Luke Skywalker learned that he once made out with his sister, Eww.

Sidious was an idiot, who only learned how to cast Force lightning, that didn't even kill Windu.

Han Solo learned that his emo-kid blamed him for everything, the hard way.

Darth Vader Male reincarnation of Rey Sunrider finally learned how to say "Nooooo", but only for Bluray.

 

@Darth Sidious that is an interesting theory. And it fits nicely with the fact that the Empire was also called "New Order", implying that the First Order has been longer around than the Empire- and not the other way round.

 

With the storygroup as they are, you ave to imagine that they have an head bending explanation of who Snoke is - something that will be incredible! Nothing of him is mentioned (currently) in the new canon in any form, so they are clearly going to lengths to keep him a secret. No merchandise, no nothing.

Personally I can’t wait for the (hopefully awesome) reveal!!

A new bad guy. That's it. So many people want to tie these characters back to earlier ones, but why? Nostalgia? Connections for continuity? Let it go and give us new people.
