My observation of the leaked LEGO minifigurine is that Snoke's eyes are glazed over as a solid blue color, as opposed to having pupils.

All other figurines of other SW characters have sharp pupils. Only Snoke has blured, bluish eyes.

I think this is strong hint that Snoke has properties of some kind of the reptilian species.

What we see in here are his blued eyes, which is happening on Earth to reptilians (most notably Snakes) before they change their skin.

    He is a changer

Btw change letter "o" with "a" in name Snoke, and you'l get Snake.

What if his "injuries" are not injuries at all, but a phase of his "metamorphosis" of changing his reptilian skin?

There were rumors during TFA that snoke was a literal snake. I don't think he is reptilian at all beacuse his skin doesnt suggest anything remotely near that line of thought. Chances are that he is probably an alien of some kind

I think the reptilian adjective was in a recent article as well. Vanity Fair maybe I think. Either that or something random that popped up in my Facebook feed. But it was a common adjective prior to TFA. I suggested in the Lego thread that his fresh fleshy skin might be evidence of molting (wild speculation folks be kind).

This fits with my post in another section (I think it was in response to someone saying Snoke and Rey were connected and in each other's heads) that Snoke's true identity is.... Voldemort!

Thats a great observation. Meybe not a literal snake like alien, but more metaphorically. The imagery and so forth may be suggesting a snake in the grass type of villain. I belive Palps in ROTJ was supposed to resemble a spider with the web like window behind his throne. He was spinning his web, trying to trap the rebellion, but he instead was trapped. It may be the same with Snoke.

Of course paralel with reprtilian like here on earth is just metaphorical, he could be simply such kind of alien that is able to reset /regenerate his body in time periods, like snakes on earth change their skin but not literally same.
It could be that this is his (still unknown) species property, or it could be this happens because of his ability gained by his knoweldge of the Force, which enables him long life.

I found some fun posts about reptilian Snoke from prior to TFA.

The DP thread is chock full of goodies.

How does it influence or change the story if we know that he is reptilian? I mean ok a slow healing factor is kinda nice but pretty pointless since he is rich enough for bacta.

It makes difference iin case this repeated reptilian "metamorphoses" enamble him immortality, which is out of reach of bacta tank capability.
