I agree ,despite some believe Treckers to be lower race this phillia is not the result of ethnicity since it can be found in almost any nation,it hurts equally all sexes, young and adults.

While I also find it hard to believe this storyline is going to be brought into TLJ, it would be cool.

Kudos! I'm glad this came around full circle. And I apologize for taking this to a negative place but something about that article rubbed me the wrong way. Its really about the state of news/internet today and how they try to make something out of nothing. The tweet itself was interesting, especially that Dave insisted Rian re-watch the Mortis Arc in the early stages of writing TLJ. Rian also compliments the episodes by calling them "gorgeous and boundary pushing." But then Dirk Libby tries to connect the dots in a way that makes me want to put a fist through my monitor. Mr. Libby suggests that because TLJ was also "gorgeous and boundary pushing" Rian was influenced by the Mortis Arc. I'm sorry, but if a Star Wars movie is ever not gorgeous and boundary pushing then it should not be made. This is beyond a reach that I don't even know what to call it. He also suggests that Kylo, Rey and Luke are like the Son, Daughter, and Father in Mortis, respectively. There is one problem with that as it relates to Mortis & TLJ... Rian Johnson did not create Kylo, Rey or Luke's role in the Sequel Trilogy. TFA set all of that up. WTF Dirk? Again, sorry for the negativity. Just had to vent!

Haha no sweat! He did reach a bit. But I still think there may still wind up being shadows of that arc that play out in Ep. IX. I think JJ might have seen these 3 episodes as well prior to TFA. I remember reading JJ revisited The Clone Wars during that whole process. Who knows! We shall see. :)

Very well thoughtout and interesting theory. But in reality, i truly doubt that its true. I feel as if we would have learned more about Snoke (or atleast gotten hints) in TLJ if Lucasfilm were planning to reveal something incredible about his backstory.

I think Snoke is just Snoke. A humanoid blessed with the force , who grew his powers throughout his life in the unknown regions. He is just a tyrannical coward who waited for a vulnerable time to seize power.

My interpretation of the Mortis arc was always as an allegory - an extended metaphor representing Anakin’s rise, fall, and redemption. The Son, Daughter, and Father figures were personifications of his own internal Darkness, Light, and Balance. What he experiences is more of a ‘vision quest’ or ‘walkabout’. Everything that happens on Mortis is strictly symbolic and not meant to be taken literally. It’s all taking place entirely in his mind. The entities he encounters there are abstractions and not actual physical beings that operate in the real world. But that’s just my take :)

That's an excellent theory, but the Gods of Mortis appeared in Rebels as well, so we can assume that those events have actually happened. Also, when I first saw the episodes, my reaction was "hey, maybe this is the balance Anakin was supposed to bring".

Drawings of them appeared anyway. Other people in the past could have had a similar vision . . . maybe.

Well, these "gods" could be just a manifestation of processes within the Force, a form that the regular being could comprehend. It kinda makes the Force a kids version of Wh40k's Warp (please don't kill me).
