****Contains Spoiler's from the novel Empire's End, if you haven't read it.!***

There's been a lot of rumors that Snoke will be aboard one of the First Order star destroyers, more specifically an Eclipse-class super star destroyer. In fact it was recently discussed that this will be the largest ship to make an appearance in the films.

Eclipse-class_Star_Destroyer_2.jpg After taking a look at the design of an Eclipse, it would almost seem like this ship would have the ability to physically plow through or cut another ship in half, if it had to. The reason why I bring this up is from thinking about the Empire's failure from the novel, Empire's End. If you have read the novel, you will remember the space battle above Jakku with Rax's star destroyer, the Ravager, and the Rebel fleet. The Ravager, of course, was physically taken down by an intentional, but reluctant, battering ram maneuver by one of the Rebel's larger ships. (Of course, to "secure" the collision, the Rebel ship used a tractor beam on the Ravager to bring both ships crashing down to the Jakku surface.)
The First Order could have seen this as a viable option for space battle, since it adopted more aggressive combat tactics, than the Empire used. Could you see this ship cutting through a large Resistance ship or a space station even?

What are your ideas about Snoke's ship? Do you think it might contain a super weapon of some other kind?

***Just on a side note: I find it funny that Snoke's ship is called an "Eclipse," while Kylo's new Tie-Fighter is called the "Silencer." The First Order can't be seen or heard, if that's the matter!

That ship is massive. I guess if we can't have yet another Planetary Sized Super Weapon, now we'll super size the Star Destroyers. Not sure if a Ship that massive would need a Super Weapon... Canons and Turbo Lasers proportionate to it's size would probably be enough to take out a gathering of flag ships

There are comparison charts of the Star Destroyers, and this dwarfs other Star Destroyers. This is probably the same Eclipse that was in the Unknown Regions at the End of Empire's End.( There were at least 2 created by Palpatine.) Who knows what kind of modifications were made to compliment the First Order's style. Even though Star Destroyers are impressively massive, they never did anything special that may them exceptionally dreadful, like a Death Star. I would love to see Snoke's little "Love Boat"❤️ do something so devastating that would make other ships evacuate a battle instantly.

Interesting theory....I like it....that would be pretty sweet to see a ship do that like some of the wooden ships in the movies due to other sea faring ships.

Do you have a link to this comparison chart?

I agree with your thoughts. These type of "hard-ball" tactics would compliment the First Order strategy quite well.

    CONFIRMING.

This ship existance has been named for the first time in the Novel Aftermath: Life debt. Admiral Rae Sloane searched Imperial navy database on Coruscant and found this ship is one that is missing.

It has been believed to be destroyed some time in between battle of Endor and battle of Jakku. However, Sloane finds it was not, but ship was sent by Palpatine to wait in Unknown regions.

It is , I presume one of its kind, though Empire has built 13 super-star destroyers. This one is also refered as super-dreadnaught.

Ship is slightly less in lenght than classic imperial super star destroyers, but in overal volume (displacement) its largest battleship Empire has built, (not counting Death Stars as a mobile bases).

The ship has been sent into nebula in the Unknown regions to wait (for the Emperor, or Rax after condingency plan).

I am almost sure First Order operates this ship, it has been modernised, and serves as a flagship of the First order.

Wookie pedia does explain that a second one was built, Eclipse II, as another flagship of Palpatine. However, it never left the shipyards of Byss, since it was destroyed by -- R2D2! LOL! Check out the details in the Wookiepedia entry.

I can't confirm is it a genuine leak , but, lets drop it anyway in here:

Ship uses advanced technology of Gravity well, creating a powerfull gravity field around it that bends time and space, making ship invisible and not detectable .
The technology is ancient (Predori), and is part of the complement of new technologies (including Starkiller base subspace beam based on Quintessence or Dark energy) - which First Order led by Snoke has obtained in the last 30 years.

    Nasty , if true.

I am basing this on a puportedly leaked exact picture of "Snokes" dreadnaught.

As we can see the drednaught has "spheres" on its hull, which could be generators of a gravity field(gravity well) , a technology that has been already tested during the days of the Empire on experimental Interdictor - class Star Destroyers. (pic. below).

Its one of the greatest capital ship designs in Star Wars , probably even in all Science Fiction.

Not using it (showing it) , finally, in its glory , would be a mistake.

No argument there, it's great that the creations of the past never stay in the past.

    Exactly.

And the evil side in Star Wars was somehow always most refreshing in the most exclusive way, though bringing in a retro style , be it a ship designs, ancient madalorian swords and armors, ancient technologies, or by exposing unsuspecting subtleties of dark side sorcery (emperor).

That's some good stuff! You mentioned how this could be an ancient design. Remember that the Eclipse was found lingering around Unknown Space at the end of Empire's End. This is the same region where Rakata Prime is. Even though you mentioned a Predori design, (which I confirmed on Wookiepedia, even though not much is there) The Rakata used ancient technologies that seem to suggest your descriptions, as well. I haven't perused through their information enough on Wookiepedia to give a better detailed answer but here there are in their ancient glory:
    Rakata_Temple.png

Also the Rakata were once enslaved by the Celestials, AKA the Architects, an advanced race seeking galactic dominance. A certain Celetial trio, the Ones, were seen on the Mortis story arc in the Clone Wars. Does the one on the left remind you of somebody? TheOnes-SWE.png
If you never seen the story arc, please do! Its a fascinating look at the light, the dark, and the gray of the Force.

Their planet Mortis was actually a monolith, which was probably constructed of ancient technology, as well. Doesn't this look like two gigantic holocrons joined together, possibly one light and one dark?

    MortisMonolith.png

These are just some wild observations of mine. Could be something else entirely.

Maybe not as beautiful, but more dreadful looking ( unless Snoke decides to gold-plate the entire exterior to match his robes and teeth !:D)

MSW reported some time ago that Snoke's Mega Star Destroyer will look similar to this airplane.
