For what it is worth MSW describes Snokes Star Destroyer in this article.

    http://makingstarwars.net/2017/04/details-snoke-guards-kylo-ren-star-wars-last-jedi/

It does not sound like an Eclipse design.

Could be. Certainly falls in line with the "stealthy" name like the Eclipse. I do not know if you saw the recent Lego set leak photos of the Star Destroyer and Snoke, as one of the figures you get with the Star Destroyer. However the Star Destroyer that is being offered is not the Eclipse. They probably didn't make a Lego version of the Eclipse due to its size and proportions.

From what I understand the Lego Star Destroyer is just a generic one and not the Snoke's

Oh, yes, I am quite up to date with Lego releases. :) You may be right. Lego released a Super Star Destroyer only once, and it was one of the biggest Lego Star Wars sets ever with 3152 pieces. It was part of Ultimate Collector Series, a group of sets that aren't really meant to be played but put on display instead. I think that in future we can expect a Mega Star Destroyer, but it will probably be a part of UCS, just like the Executor.

Yes they have already produced one in older Star Wars Lego sets, with Vader and other figures from the OT.

We are sure Eclipse departed for unknown Regions and was there 30 years ago, well 30 years is long time, what happened to it its impossible to say. But I think will be cool to see it, at least as an old-let say ship where FO trains its soldiers from birth.

The ship in Empire's End was a Dreadnaut Class SSD named the Eclipse. I think they are going to design something new as suggested by the shorter but larger design or as MSW has suggested.

The ship design that @McDiarmid shared I believe has been around for a long time I think. Many games and stories in the EU created and used new designs. I think the author of Epire's End used the name Eclipse because it evoked a term from legends and grounded the term in the new canon but even in the book it wasn't shown so brining it to the screen will happen on the film.

Eclipse is defined as missing super-star destroyer(dreadnaught) in Life Debt. It was formally Palpatine's own command ship.

The imperial secret service fabricated data of its destruction, which Admiral Sloane found in archives .Later we learn the ship has been send and parked in the Unknown regions. Eclipse.

From the novels we know Admiral Rae Sloane, general Hux senior, and many children escaped from Jakku in a fregate Imperialis, and went to meet Eclipse in the unknow regions.

With its living space (volume) of a large city , its logical to conclude Eclipse served as a starting point for the First Order.

In almost every material I found this design is referenced as Eclipse dreadnaught.

Of course fillmmaker could chose to change it.

I have read the books. It is mentioned in both Life Debt and Empire's End.

I in absolutely no way denied that fact.

I simply pointed out that there may be a difference in a SSD named the "Eclipse" in the new canon mentioned in Aftermath and a line or class of ships "the Eclipse Class Star Destroyers" used in the old EU and video games and RPGs. Because the picture you shared is older than the ST as remember it from years back.

Hence when Snoke's SSD is mentioned it is shorter than SSDs of the past but larger by volume as described by MSW.

We have another usable peace of information.

The First Order Dreadnaught unlike older imperial Super-star Dreadnaughts, does not have "city" on its back (on its upper side).

Please all note "city" uper-structure on Vader's (classic) super star destroyer.

So first Order dreadnaught has simillar general shape looking from side perspective, but has no "city" on its back. The uper surface is "flat".

So let me process my view on information FO dreadnaught "has no city" on its back and looks like a "Flying wing", -------pic. of the Eclipse from different perspectve.

Intriguing design. Funny how the use of the triangle/pyramid keeps appearing throughout many of the imperial/first order/dark side/sith inspired ships, buildings, artifacts, etc.

    Yes.
And, for what is worth, the basic capital ships of the First order, The Resurgent class battlecruisers( reclassified since they are twice bigger than Imperial destroyers), like Kylo Ren's ship, have, if we look closer more "clean" and layered uperstructure, resembling to me, (very subjective I agree) a small thinned version (or fraction) of Eclipse design.

Very nice! This is striking, since the Rebellion/ Resistance never really seemed to have particular shapes that they used in engineering their ship. Since the "Good Guys" were a mix of diffferent cultures, as opposed to the "Bad Guys,"(mostly Order/power hungry, narrow minded humans) , it would make sense that the Rebellion/Resistance designs would vary.

I love the designs of the Eclipse Dreadnaughts, breathtaking... but I'm keeping my exceptions very low, so I won't disappoint myself when I actually see what they gonna put on screen.

Snoke will be on his Mega Destroyer for a lot of the film from what I understand. I think his “palace” could be inside this ship once referred to as a “mobile command unit.” The Mega Destroyer itself is shaped like a flying wing. It just might be the biggest ship we’ve seen in Star Wars outside of a Death Star. You know how the classic Star Destroyer has three large engines? I think this one has at least ten and they’re double stacked. This is also the setting where the First Order BB units can be glimpsed with their hexagonal shaped heads and glossy black bodies with vents that glow red on the inside. This squad rolls deep.

We can only hope. If it is the Eclipse design, I hope we first see it after the opening crawl from the underbelly as a slow moving leviathan of the sea.
