So realistically - could Cassian Andor be in the movie?

So ages back there were behind the scenes photos in the UK of Diego Luna being on-set, wearing rather military-style clothing (which to me looks too costume-like to be his own clothes), whilst as VanishingMode posted in the rumours thread, Diego's face lights up and actually trivially changes the subject when asked about appearing in Solo during a TV interview (1:37 in the follow clip: http://www.mtv.com/video-clips/3jxt8f/mtvnews-series-golden-globes-2017-diego-luna).



So as a direct question to the people - do you feel Diego Luna was just visiting the set and just has a strange sense of fashion, or are we likely to see some backstory to the rebel who's been in this fight since he "WAS SIX YEARS OLD"?

As an enormous fan of Rogue One, I'm certainly hoping so. As to whether his potential inclusion would survive the re-shoots, I obviously don't know. If he is, maybe it's perhaps just a tiny cameo, but even so I'd still be delighted and certainly hope Lucasfilm are wanting to tie their backstory movie characters and worlds together. So I for one would love it it if he is, and the two sources of evidence to me at the very least suggest so.

Oh don't get me wrong, I've always thought he looked a bit 'off' in these photos and much fuller in the face (though I'd put a lot of that down to the lens zoom causing a stunting effect - Alden's photo makes his head look like a pumpkin and needs to be resized by about 90% width to look normal), and whilst I'm usually not naive enough to believe everything I read, especially from the Daily Mail when it comes to their sensationalised middle-class right-wing fear-mongering that's usually a glorified way of writing an article that effectively says "I'm not being racist, but...", I do admit I kind of (perhaps quite wrongly) assumed they'd at least have some basic idea of just who they were taking photographs of if they were going to name them in an article. So apologies if that's not him. I'd roll my eyes at an article of theirs stating "experts believe that muslims give you cancer" but did admittedly think they might know a bit more than me when it comes to the people they were taking photos of in their own vicinity while I'm hundreds of miles away at home, even if they do look a bit strange. After all, journalistic integrity and just knowing a person's name are two very different things haha.
