There hasn't. I mean, there was, but that was right before it was announced that Ron Howard would be taking over.

To me it looks like they're 100% determined to stay in May, but anything can happen if it turns out that Ron Howard didn't get enough time. If they push it, I think it won't be as far as December. 3 moths tops, but that's a guess. I bet they're doing everything to keep the original date.

The John Powell announcement seems to indicate that's the case. It's more or less the right time to announce the composer and get him involved if they're looking at a May release. If they knew the film will be moved significantly, I don't think they would announce the composer right now.

Damm that's a real shame the only small crumb of comfort I can take is that he was probably only in one or two scenes to start with but still I was really looking forward to seeing him in the film.

It's a pity Kenneth Williams is dead, as they could have saved a fortune on poster reprints.

Apparently he is replacing Michael K Williams and that originally the role was going to be a mix with CGI but because of time restraints will now be human (or perhaps one of the very human alien races i.e. Zabraks)

If this is true, it's a bit of a shame that the replacememt actor is not a POC. However, Paul Bettany is a fine actor and he'll certainly do a good job as this character.

I really don't think that the actor's race should matter since A. the character was supposedly not human and B. Paul Bettany is a Howard's friend and this probably needs to be done quickly as production will be finishing soon.

It should be noted that PB replacing MKW has to do with scheduling conflicts, before anyone gets up in arms about this.

How much of the film gets reshot w/ RH?

    50%? 60%?

    Any ideas or clues?

In my opinion at least 51%. Lucasfilm seems to be trying very hard to reshoot more than a half of the film. This way, during the arbitration process at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) (because for sure there will be arbitration) the directing credit will go to Ron Howard and not Lord&Miller.

I think it's likely that they'll get credited as well as a way of deescalating potential worries that future filmmakers would have with working with the company. Whether or not they're going to be listed as co-directors is where it gets tricky, but it looks like Ron Howard is shooting enough footage that he'll get the top credit for sure.

Maybe they'll do something like "Directed by Ron Howard, with special thanks to Lord and Miller" that way Ron Haward is clearly given the directing credit but they aren't dissing the other two. Plus they wrote the original script so they should be getting writing credits regardless.

According to DGA there can only be one "person" (in this sense a person also includes an established directing duo, like the Coen brothers or Lord&Miller) who can be credited as a director of the film. In this situation I cannot imagine Lucasfilm trying to give the directing credit to anyone else than Ron Howard. In case of Lord&Miller, in the best possible scenario they would get some producing credit, nothing more.
