    Do you have to be dramatic in every thread you are involved in? The thread is pretty self explanatory, so I'm not sure what your point regarding 'what else is this thread for.'??

    The fact that you asked 'what else is this thread for' as it was almost mocking it. The thread is pretty self explanatory just like every thread in that it is about a single subject or character that you can debate back and forth on. I have no problem if you disagree as I'm open to all viewpoints, but I don't appreciate your last sentence essentially saying this is an empty topic or wasted thread. The point of the thread is that Solo did what Prequels do in that it told an interesting story that had a few new twists, yet it still preserved the character and didn't ruin it when you watch the OT. I thought Rogue One did the same as it made the OT better, but still told an interesting story. Some Prequels in either moves or TV shows do the opposite as they try to subvert this and that to make it seem original, but in the process they hurt the regular narrative from the original source material.

    I only saw Solo the other day and thought it was pretty good. I think I prefer solo and rogue one more than the new trilogy because they feel like they are more about the old movies. when you watch them you can pick up on the names and storylines that happen later and that is half of the fun of watching them.
    I loved that bit at the end when woody was just about to tell him the most important lesson of all. He didn’t even need to complete the sentence because every Star Wars will know exactly what he was going to say.

    Honestly yes, you're on point there. I accepted what it was, but it seemed....out of place, and I only think that I could REALLY find it worthwile or worth the trouble of doing, would be to elaborate on that story further...so we understood how it related to the larger picture in the OT.....personally.
