Solo EASTER EGG hunt!-Do not read before watching-

Not sure if this counts as an easter egg but:

Han shot first.

 

I like how Han re-introduces himself to Lando at the end there. I absolutely love that Star Wars music is something that is now canon! Now people in a galaxy far, far away can listen to it!

 

I guess this counts as an Easter egg but the this quote from the article that talked about movies that influenced Solo was pretty interesting. It states

I did see The Big Lebowski reference in Solo especially towards the end when Han was getting into stuff that he REALLY didn't know about.

I'd have to check, but the way Han hugs Lando at the end is the same way Lando hugs Han in Empire.
This explains why the Falcon's OS is so difficult. It's been mentioned a few times in the OT.

 

Alden was 100% Han in this scene. As for the exchange itself, on the one hand I like the "I know" but on the other hand... they're messing with the iconic TESB line here. A very risky wink to the audience.

Yes, it was a mirror of that TESB scene and I loved it. It cracked me up big time when Lando went from panicking to laughing in the middle of the hug.

I was soooo relieved that Beckett didn't say "Glad you shot first" or something like that... That would be cringy as hell.

 

I don't know if this was mentioned but they had Lando mispronounce Han's name like he does in the OT only this time Han corrects him.

 

There were 3 creatures that I assume were meant to be Nerfs. They could be seen briefly on the iceplanet (bottom left corner of a panoramic scene). Interestingly enough they even put them on the movie poster.

 

I don’t remember the exact wording, but there is a line where Lando says something like “Those mining colonies are disgusting!” This is an Easter egg/joke because in TESB Lando is running a mining colony on Bespin.

This is also similar to the joke where 3PO says they will never get him on one of those dreadful starships.

 

Didn't Mark Hamill say that 3P0 was in the movie pre-release? I remember an reading an article on here. However, it was a ruse.

the Wookiee that was shown so prominently during the heist on the Kessell mine, the one that hugs Chewbacca for goodbye.

 

For the record about fuel...it is first mentioned in ROTS by Obi-Wan on Utapau

Daniels is not the Wookiee (Sagwa). He's there in the Kessel escape, though, and his character's name is Tak.

And yes, I also counted "Move Along" as an easter egg. Even a sentence as common as that is so closely associated to Star Wars that it can't be there by coincidence. Same with "Here they come!", said here by Beckett.

 

That didn’t quite go the way I expected. Chewie does get beaten in Dejarik, and I thought for sure that would lead to arms getting ripped off - but while the rip-off happens, it is a separate incident.

 

I liked that scene. Becket was teaching him the game for the first time.

When L3-37 is first introduced next to the driod fighting arena, items are thrown at her. One of those items looks alot like a golden hand from a 3PO Protocol Droid. Later, when she's in the cockpit of the MF, I noticed her chest markings were similar to R2-D2.
Could these be very subtle easter eggs?

 

Are you sure? I found some websites claiming that he plays Sagwa by quoting Lawrence Kasdan.

When I was talking about Anthony’s cameo, it was a mistake of my syntax, I think. In the escape from the Kessel Mines, Anthony does not play the Wookiee, Sagwa, but rather his best friend, a human slave who beckons Sagwa, not Chewie, to join his escape route. Sagwa in turn invites Chewie to join Tak and himself.

 

Not Viper Droids in ESB, Probe Droids. There are Viper Droids in Battlefron 2 I think.

 

not sure if this count as an easter egg but i saw two tubes from r1 in enfys gang... pretty cool seeming as he is a pretty awesome character
