I'm trying to write a 10-minute screenplay about the SW fan community. I'm pretty sure there are no restriction on anything like this as long as I don't show movie footage or have sound effects etc. But is there anyone who has done a fan film of this type before? If so, could you help me? Thank you so much!

I am fairly certain that Lucasfilm is very lenient with fans using sounds and what not in their films. They even encourage the making of fan films with the yearly awards. So long as you aren't making money with their stuff you should be good to go. Best of luck to you on your project.
